Haku's Ice Mirrors

Some people are under the impression that Haku isn't very fast after He was defeated by Naruto/Sasuke back in part 1.

This thread is going to clear up a few things.

First off, there is a very common misconception that Sasuke can somehow see Haku when he is moving between his mirrors, since he stated that he could see him more clearly once he unlocked the 2-tomoe.

This only happened when Haku was running low on chakra as he stated earlier himself, which is why he couldn't keep up his tremendous speed for very long. In the beginning, Sasuke couldnt even do anything too defend himself and was only able to barely avoid getting hit in vital areas. However, as time passed, he was able to slowly get accustomed to it at the same time Haku started slowing down, making his attack patterns a bit easier to predict.
Even Sasuke himself said that he could only see a little bit, which was enough for him to
protect Naruto from a fatal blow.

Another misconception that people say is that Sasuke can move as fast as Haku since he was able to save Naruto. Again, this is also false because Haku had slowed down enough to the point where Sasuke could read his intentions as to where he was going to attack, and promptly moved in frontof Naruto to protect him.

When Naruto had first used Kuramas chakra, he was able to catch Haku because Haku himself had slowed down drastically due to a lack of chakra, and Naruto had gained a significant amount of speed due him gaining quite a bit Kurama's very potent chakra. Not only that, but Haku was not moving between mirrors when he was caught since went in from the top mirror to attack physically so that he was temporary vulnerable to Naruto.

Haku is capable of moving at near imperceptible speeds physically from one mirror to another, and he is said to be able to move between his mirrors at the speed of light since he moves using the reflection of the other mirrors. This makes him one of the fastest in the NV when using this technique.

I agree I wouldn't put him in Top 5 fastest but he is faster than most ninja.

Makes sense, the longer he uses the jutsu the more chakra he consumes which means the slower he get's in the long run.

Any normal shinobi would be dead before that even happens.

Underrated ninja's are cool at times, when they have feats which are sometimes effective against even OP characters.

Im glad you agree and yes I do tend to side with the underdogs in many cases.

I made a list of the fastest shinobi before, and I placed him as the 8th in the speed department below V2 Killer Bee and above Obito since his s/t jutsu takes a few seconds bit to fully activate.

He isnt in the top-tier, but just under it; on the top of the high-level speedsters category in the list.

Yes but you have to remember:

Jutsu consumes a lot of chakra so he get's slower the longer he uses it.

Sasuke was in their long enough he started to learn the patterns

Sasuke had increased help when he unlocked his sharingan

Haku was slower by this time

Haku was even more slower and tired by the time Naruto used the nine tails chakra

Haku wasn't even trying to kill them. The match could have been over sooner if haku wasn't so kind

Also i must add that he is also the only one other than Guy,Lee and Minato who is capable of blitzing with his speed using the Ice Mirrors.

This is what my list was like if you wanted to see it.

Top Tier Speedsters *The Fastest of the Fast*

1) Minato


This man has undoubtedly been revered many times in NV history as the fastest man alive during his time and has been given the nickname the "Yellow Flash". His reaction time, reflexes, and even his own base speed was something to marvel at and almost unparalleled. However, his real meaning of his nickname comes from his creative and deadly use of his Space/time jutsu, the Flying Thunder God Technique, which allows him to teleport anywhere he has placed a seal formula, most of the time on one his custom-made specialty kunai. With this technique, he could instantly take out an entire platoon of shinobi, which terrified his foes so much, that they were given a flee-on-sight order whenever he appeared. Even though his teleportation requires seals, he can still teleport to wherever they are instantly, which is physically impossible to surpass except with another s/t jutsu of the same caliber.

2) BM Naruto

Like his father mentioned above, Naruto has also proved capable of dodging the even raikage's fastest attack in KM and BM Naruto has been shown to deflect 5 TBBs away from Guy and Kakashi at point-blank range. These are among some of the greatest physical speed feats in the NV.

3) Gai 8th Gate (theoretically)

While we have yet to see any real feats from the 8th gate, it is presumed, according to the description of the 8th gate, that it will grant power greater than the 5 kages. The EIG grant the user enhanced speed and power, so it means that Guy would temporarily be faster than even the raikage which is why I have Guy above the raikage. He is below BM Naruto because Naruto isnt technically a kage, so the description of the 8th gate likely doesnt apply to him. Therefore, it is currently unknown whether the 8th gate would grant speed faster than BM Naruto

4) Fourth Raikage

The fourth raikage was considered the fastest alive after Minato himself and is still one of the top tier speedsters in the NV. He is obviously the one that most people compare other very fast shinobi to, almost making him one of the minimum standards of being a top tier speedster.

5) Third Raikage

This guy, like his son is also noted to be very fast since he uses the same technique, lightning armor. He, however, is more known for his durability a bit more than his speed, making him not as fast as his son, but still pretty close.

6) Lee 5th Gate

Has proven himself earlier on in the story to be one of the fastest in the NV with the power of the EIG. However, his mastery of the EIG isn't up to his sensei's level, so it is obvious that he would not be as quick, though he is sure to be one of the top contenders in the speed department.

7) Killer Bee V2

This guy in his V2 mode is extremely fast and has displayed several one-shot speed feats where his opponents was unable to react, he claims that only the raikage can match his speed, but that is still debatable for now.

High-Level Speedsters *Those With Overwhelming Speed*

8) Haku

While his actual base movement speed is not good enough to compete with the fastest on this list, Haku's crystal mirrors allows him to teleport between mirrors so quickly that he seeems like he is in all of them at once. He is also able to move extremely fast when jumping out of his mirrors as well.

9) Obito

Obito's S/T jutsu takes time to fully initiate since he first has to absorb himself into his separate space and then reappear at his desired location. Because of this he has more versatility in choosing where he wants to go, but this limits how fast he can get there, and would make one consider if it would be wise to use while fighting against another formidably fast opponent.

Of course this isnt the full list, because it is super long with over 25 people in it.

Haku was totally badass IMO.

You also forget one thing; Haku missed their vital points or purpose. He liked Naruto and Sasuke so he didn't really wanted to kill them

Remember, how faster Haku use that tech, the less for Haku's speed is dropped down. The only way to counter that tech is Kurama's chakra and Sharingan. Also I mean Naruto one tailed or something like that can use some incredible force to counter Haku's mirror speed, and for Sharingan user with skills, then that user can see where Haku moves to another mirrors.

Haku's speed has some reflexes, but its many shinobis out there who can counter and kill his tech for good, list :

Minato ( FTG Kunais around the field, or he can mark Haku ) Minato can teleport with an instant, so its impossible for Haku to hit or catch him.

If you look at my previous post, you can see that I had made a very long and extensive list of the dastest, but I stopped just after Haku since its way too long to post altogether with over 25 cahracters.

He was running low on chakra and it was pointless to hit a target who could somewhat see his attacks, so he attacked Naruto to lure Sasuke to him so that he could attack him.

Haku never said he was low on chakra, he said his technique takes up alot of chakra. Once he realized Sasuke could see his movements he wanted to end it fast before the battle prolong and he runs out of chakra.

These two pages imply that he was slowing down, and that it only happened when he uses it for a long time, meaning that he was running out of chakra to keep it up. He needed to end it fast before his chakra ran out and they were able to catch him.

Not yet, but it if it dragged on for too long, then they would be able to catch him. Naruto was knocked out on the ground which is why he didnt help sasuke after the sharingan had been awakened. He could track Haku enough to know that he was going for Naruto and rushed in to save him, only making it in time to take the fatal blow that was meant for Naruto. They both mentioned that he was slowing down, and a jutsus effectiveness only goes down when he is starting to run out of chakra. Not only that, but it takes a lot of chakra to keep it going, and he was slowing down even moreso to the point where Naruto in KN0 form was able to catch him outside of a mirror.

Haku shouldn't have had to use his ultimate trump card against a barely chunin level ninja.
