Obito is FAR from mentally insane, FAR FAR from it. If people understood his story, and why he's doing it, they would see his sense behind the madness. Obito's resolve is almost right, in a way.

No one can fall into madness without some tragic event happening in their life, but most of the people everyone is mentioning still have their sense and plot about them. Part 1 Gaara, on the other hand, went on missions, done things for the village, JUST so he could kill. He killed for the pleasure of killing. He wanted blood, and that's all that would satisfy him. Almost everyone people mention have a goal behind what they're doing.

Madara - Moons' eye plan.
Obito - Moon's Eye plan.
Kabuto - Still a mystery, Sasuke is involved.
Orochimaru - Immortality, destruction of the leaf.
Sasuke - The honor and revival of his clan.

sasuke was driven by things he was told....even itachi said he was a blank canvas that could be dyed any color=meaning easily swayed by or with emotions...sasori had madness happen to him from the beginning...he lost his parents and the pain from that messed him up(kinda like how it did sasuke)

Garra from part one is essentially the most mentally unstable character to grace the manga. He killed people and yearned to bathe in their blood just to feel alive as he put it. If anyone puts Sasuke over it, you need to stop over-loading your head with coke. It does stuff to you. Also, I am flabbergasted Karin is not included. That ***** killed hundreds of prisoners and threw them in mass graves all because of their longing for freedom. I am glad Sasuke showed her no pity.

cant say that because then by saying that ur saying that garra was two different people based on when he had one tails in him or not....did you forget the time when he came and helped lee fight kimmimaru? he wasnt after blood lust then...he was different because of naruto and he still had shikaku in him. even after it was extracted he remained the humble garra only changed by naruto
