Extreme Appearance: Ryohei appears as a fine man of muscular build and above average height. Ever since he was young, he trains in boxing to maintain this image. He has short silver hair which has earned him the name "Turf top" by Gokudera Hayato. Most of the time apart from swimming, showering etc he wears a small bandage covering his nose, and several meters of tape wrapped around his hands and wrists. When he was younger, he received a scar upon his left temple from protecting his sister in the midst of a battle. She still blames herself to this day for the scar he received.

His general attire changes almost all the time, keeping his trademark bandages around his hands and nose. Generally when he's training with either a light run or something of the sort he wears a red/blue hoodie with dark tracksuit pants donning his legs so he doesn't get cold. If he were to be in complete casual wear he's usually wearing a red jacket of sorts, armed with a white t-shirt underneath and denim shorts. If he's actually in the midst of a fight, he's almost always seen without a shirt on, as it restricts his flexibility and general movements in the heat of battle. Almost never seen, but when he's training in the art of the sword he will wear a light blue-coloured gi, holding a katana on his left side.

Extreme Personality: Ryohei is generally enthusiastic at everything he does. His motto is to live "to the extreme" (Kyokugen) and shows this in everything he does. As a result, he sees any disadvantages as opportunities to improve his fighting. This has been shown when he ran into a zoo once hoping to fight a bear, and fought a lion instead. A big part of Ryohei's persona is that he's hot-headed. He can get worked up easily from his friends just calling him names. His enthusiasm leads him to not entirely assessing the situation at hand, and usually ending up injured as a result.

He seems to show no weakness to anyone due to his enthusiasm for everything he does, living to the extreme. Ryohei does seem to have a weakness for his sister, Kyoko. He get's extremely worried about her if anything were to happen to her. He conceals his actions towards Kyoko for fear that she will get involved and get herself hurt, and that he couldn't live with himself if anything would happen to her. He generally uses up the lie that he's participating in boxing spars or sumo matches, so she doesn't become worried for him.

Background History

Prologue: Knuckle's Legacy

"This must be the will of God. Everything depends on how hard you work."

It was a distant memory in time, some say he was a legend amongst Kirigakure, others say he's just a myth. Sasagawa Ryohei was said to be the next embodiment of the man in legend, known as Knuckle. He was a frivalous man who loved fighting, and did so with all of his passion. Though he was said to be mere legend, no one loved fighting more than him. Only he was really into sparring, not killing people for fun like the more recent installments in the Bloody Mist's Legacy. In his time he was frequently called upon to drive away intruders of Kirigakure, acknowledging him for his sake of not being able to kill people and living a peaceful time.

One day though through no one else's fault but his own, Knuckle was having a friendly spar with someone who remains unknown to this day. Being unaware of his own strength and how much he had improved over time, the spar had gotten to the point where he had accidentally incapacitated this poor fellow, killing him in the process. He felt gloomy from it, hung up his boxing career and became a man of the lord, vowing never to fight again. In the meantime, there was a huge attack on Kirigakure where many shinobi were slaughtered, including Knuckle's dearest friends and family. Through this motivation, he brought back the spar-loving man we knew and gave himself three minutes to help fight and drive away these intruders. Knuckle was back and his legacy was born in the present time, through Sasagawa Ryohei.

Chapter One: Kyoko's Feelings

"This scar here... I got it when Kyoko and I were in the Ninja Academy."

Sasagawa Kyoko, Ryohei's beloved and younger sister. He cared for her so deeply most people wouldn't be able to reciprocate it. Donned in stunning orange hair, she was rumored to others to be the idol of the Ninja Academy of Kirigakure when they were both there. Her attitude towards his fighting was that she didn't like it when he fought. Sure he kept in shape with boxing and casual sparring with other people, but it was the hardcore matches which she didn't like - him putting his life on the line for her. It all happened from that incident. Or to be more specific, the incident which gave him the scar.

It was roughly 6 years ago, when the two of them were still in the Ninja Academy. Kyoko was never the strong type of girl, whereas Ryohei was more reckless and headstrong, willing to charge into any fight without problem. It was a traumatic time for both of them, and also the time he received the scar on his face. Some of the older Chunin around the place didn't see eye to eye with him, and had kidnapped his sister in order to draw him out. Unfortunately for him, it worked. He was headstrong, he had no idea what he was getting himself into at the time.
"Give Kyoko back!" Ryohei shouted at these Chunin, charging into them with any valiant effort he could use. Not surprisingly, he was beaten to a pulp, ending with a scar above his left eye, most likely from a kunai scratch. Kyoko was in tears after the ordeal, she could only cry over the fact that he would just do all of this for her. Ryohei could hear a few words before he passed out from the attack.
"Onii-san! Hang in there!"

Ryohei was admitted to hospital from the attack, wrapped in bandages from all the wounds he suffered on his forehead. It was evident Kyoko stood by his bedside most of the time when she was allowed - she blamed herself for the attack he suffered which she shouldn't have. She felt like it was all because of her that he might become reckless again, fighting for no reason. Ryohei did promise her that he wouldn't fight any more if it was going to upset her, but there was something else he said to her.
"There may be a time when I have to fight. If it's going to make you cry, then I won't lose again!"

Chapter Two: The Ultimate Home Tutor

"If you can keep up with my training, you'll be way stronger than the others, kora!"

"Who's the boxing brat you told me about, kora!?" The words echoed out from a man, who appeared to be the size of a toddler. He was Colonnello, a small man with dashing blonde hair, armed with multiple different weapons and attire more suited for the front lines of a shinobi war. He was specialised in the combat forces, ranging from everything: ninjutsu, taijutsu, elements and so on. Colonnello could be considered a genius. Jokes were made for if Ryohei was weak or not and that out of everyone in his year from the Ninja Academy, he was the weakest. The approach from the blonde kid had happened around his Chunin stage, after having gone and earned the right to become a Chunin from all his training and determination. Colonnello offered personal training for Ryohei, seeing potential in him in which he accepted the offer. Ryohei was granted a bandana marked with '02' similar to Colonnello's and set off for a mountainside for training.

At this mountainous region is where Ryohei started his training with his tutor. It was simply resting, nothing more than that. Lied down on the rocky terrain for three days and three nights, rejuvenating his body. He questioned the training, like any enthusiastic person would. Colonnello told him it was because of his body; his muscles which was why it was required he rest for the time being and recollect the cells within his body. Ryohei was considered someone special in terms of how fast his body would recover, someone who's cells bounced back after a hard day's training - one in a million.
It was because of his training regiment which was pretty much 24/7 as to why he needed to rest for his training - ultimately to strengthen his body.

It came the time for Ryohei to pick up one of Colonnello's ancient techniques, the Maximum Cannon: a blow so powerful it could destroy boulders. After a simple visual performance, he understood the aesthetics of the attack so easily, something Colonnello would have thought from a student he picked out. It was a powerful blow which could change the flow in a desperate battle, similar to that of a rifle.
"Do it with your bare hands, kora! His smaller tutor beckoned. Colonnello expected his student to break a boulder which could be considered twice his own size, which seemed like an impossible feat for Ryohei, especially considering he'd been resting lifelessly for the past three days. But little did he know, that was why he'd be able to do it. The cells in his body which would normally be tired from the constant training would be healthy enough to perform something of that calibre.

And with that, Colonnello delivered a blow so hard to Ryohei it almost killed him.
This wasn't done in spite though, something the tutor knew was that his student was the type of person who learnt new skills through his body rather than his head. Unlike some other people, he would be more inclined to feel how something should be performed and it's strength, rather than understanding the theoretical side. "Accept my blow. Feel it, then learn it, kora!"
Ryohei survived somehow, his clothes all torn from the encounter with his teacher. He was ready to utilize his full strength, just as Colonnello had wanted it.
He prepared his stance for the blow, like he was charging up his own fist like a powerful shockwave. "Make the right foot into the trigger. Concentrate your cells' energies into your fist. Now fire, kora!" The words escaped Colonnello's mouth like it had been rehearsed a thousand times, like he had taught this technique to many other people. Ryohei took a concentrated punch at the boulder, with it being smashed into smithereens, disintegrated from the pure force of his fist. Within the midst of the rubble, words could be heard from the tutor once again.
"Don't forget how it feels, kora!"

Chapter Three: A Boxer's Resolve

"I cannot kill. So join your master for a little nap."

A part of Ryohei which could never be forgotten to him or his loved ones. His past, how he came into this world, the birth of a second Knuckle, his need for protecting his sister Kyoko, and him learning his morals for fighting as a boxer.
As a child, he was born into his mother and father, both proficient in the Swift Release. Of course, he grew up with this ability himself as did his sister. At an extremely young age, months after he was born they all moved to Kirigakure, to live a nice and happy life. Ryohei grew up learning how to use the best of his hidden ability, through the art of boxing. This is where he learnt the majority of his morals, and his need to protect Kyoko.
As a boxer, he respected the game way too much, sought after it as a way of life rather than just something to practice in your own time. He disliked needing to use any other tactics which meant him putting his foe into a comatose state, and thus only fought hard when it was completely necessary to protect his loved ones. Despite his personal military strength, he has never killed a single living being.

About a year after moving into the land of Kirigakure, mere months after Kyoko was born, his father passed with a deathly illness, something he couldn't have helped in any way possible but he still somehow felt responsible for his father's death. The burden placed upon him that day, despite being so young grew over time, to protect his loved ones, to become the man his father would have wanted him to be. It's probably the biggest reason he came to love boxing, and his reason for not being able to kill anyone. He didn't want other people, no matter how bad they were by nature, to go through what he had gone through in the past.

His drive for protecting Kyoko is even stronger. Ryohei and Kyoko were never really close to their mother, and more relied on each other. He hated seeing Kyoko worry about him, and her crying was a huge weakness to him. He hated to see her involved in whatever fights he was doing, and often lied to her to stop her from getting too involved. If something were to happen to her, he'd have no idea what he'd do.
There was one drastic movement which caused him to assault one of his best friends for telling her about what he had been involved in, despite his wishes with her not knowing. It was a rough time, his friend thought it was for the best. Ryohei's anger for his actions couldn't be contained, and landed a punch straight in the middle of his face, knocking him down. It was the only way for him to show release of his emotions at the time.
"I cannot forgive you for getting Kyoko involved. But I'm also a man. One punch and I can move on!"

Other Information
Swift Release
Swift Release (Hayatōn) are techniques that can be move at virtually instantaneous movements, granting the user speed enhancements. The user can also use this speed enhancement style to enhance the speed of physical objects adding to a variety of using the Kekkai Genkai. Due to its speed enhancements it is presumed that the user is a master of Wind based chakra and Lightning based chakra, as these two basic elements are the most resembling of speed based ninjutsu. It is a Kekkai Genkai shown to be used within the Naruto Shippuden movie 3 inheritors of the Will of Fire, by a shinobi called Hiruko who used his chimera technique to steal the Kekkai Genkai from an unknown shinobi.
Ryohei was someone who possessed this ability himself, a rare ability to everyone. He's capable of using this ability to his best advantage, keeping up with his own incredibly fast movements.

Lightning Release
Lightning Release (Raiton) is one of the five basic elemental nature transformation techniques that allows the user to generate lightning by increasing the high frequency vibrations of their chakra, allowing for piercing damage and fast movement. The electricity paralyses the target so that they are unable to move and leave them vulnerable to a finishing strike.
Ryohei was a master of the Lightning Style, mostly presumed from his Kekkei Genkai. The element was not only his natural affinity, but also the element which suited him the best with his style of fighting, and chose to put the majority of his effort into it. Ryohei has shown to be capable of using the Lightning element at a blistering fast pace, and being capable of using all the techniques with a single handseal.

Hidden Mist Technique
Having grown up in the Village hidden in the Mist for the majority of his life, Ryohei has a natural adaptation to that of the mist and the technique to veil himself. Using this technique, whenever he's in the mist, he can't see too clearly, but can make out vague shadows, as well as relying on all his other senses while within the mist. He can also apply this to any other situation which limits his eyesight.

One in a Million
During his training, Colonnello explained to Ryohei the effects of his own body and how his cells have extremely higher regenerative rates than that of a standard ninja. His ability to constantly train without feeling much strain on his body really proved this, and he could exert his body to his limits. His cells would bounce back after a session, allowing for less time to recuperate his muscles and body. As a result, small injuries aren't enough to hold Ryohei back in a fight, not to mention his drive for protecting his sister.

Alcoholic Vulnerability
In a similar sense to Rock Lee, Ryohei is also prone to the effects of alcohol. His inability to hold his liquor down in his younger age has proven to him to be a burden, but also a blessing as well. While he can handle the smallest quantities of the devil's drink, he falls into a drunken state quite easily, just by drinking a shot of Sake, or something of similar effect.

Weaponry
While it's rare for Ryohei to bring in an actual weapon into a fight other than his fists, he will occasionally wear a special set of gauntlets made for him when it comes to fighting - Sereno Gloves. These are specially made for people like him who don't like to fight using weapons. Fingerless gauntlets with the backs lined with a special flexible metal able to shape around his hands. He generally wears these Sereno Gloves to counteract people who use swords and other weapons such as kunai and shuriken.
