How do you celebrate New Years ?

Just wondering, how do you celebrate New Years where you live ?

Here we just have a nice dinner and then blow up fireworks pretty much all night, until the sun rises the next day, and I assumed it was similar in other countries, but now I've been told that in some countries it's not even remotely similar to how it is over here. :S

So, how do you celebrate New Years in your country ? :D I'm curious to hear your answers :y

Personally it's just an average day to me, and in my country it's celebrated with fireworks, parties, but nothing special.

we'll have some light beer till 11.45
then people start to do stupid stuff and say all kind of non-sense as new year resolution till the countdown for new year
after 12 we start the real party ... drinking,smoking and sex till morning

New Year's Eve is my older brother's birthday so yeah. This year he's turning 21 and so we're expecting booze, mixed drinks, loud music, lots of friends, and probably some beer pong or king's cup :D

Most people in my country celebrate it either with friends or their family with a lot of food, alcohol and even fireworks.

My parents, sister and I just have a nice dinner and seeing as I'm a university student, I'll be studying that day as well for my exams.

So nothing special for me LOL

- I just go to my aunt's house and have a New Year's party over there. Our yearly tradition is to make wishes regarding to how many grapes you have. And those grapes are accounted towards your age.
