I've said before that neji will still beat lee until he dies its been proven..

hand to hand combat up close neji win via gentle fist destroying lee's organs while the exchanging blows..(one hit is all it takes to kill)

if neji is close to getting hit, a body blow or rotation will hurt lee...

People say lee is faster, BUT, neji has faster hands and because lee no distance attacks (neji does) he has to close the distance to win so that advantage is negated.

The only argument people gave me was that lee would go in gates mode and win .....

i responded that rotation would deflect everything lee had until gates mode ran out and lee would be a sitting duck after!

opposers responded that rotation cannot deflect the force of the gates

however with recent scans its verifies that rotation can deflect JUUBI tails...the juubi flicked TBB so in summary NEJI>LEE

Rotation may deflect anything Lee has once it's activated, but the question is if Neji is able to put it up before Lee attacks him. I personally think that Lee can beat him if he goes 7 gates (assuming that he's gotten that far now) since we've already seen how drastically his speed changes when he went 5 gates. But that's just my opinion...

I would say there is a reason thst Neji was a Jonin while Lee remained a Chunin. Kishi just made it obvious just how strong Neji was just before he died...

If his rotation csn block the Juubi I'd say he can block Lee's hate attsck since he has only gone up to 5th gate I believe!

True, the only argument I could come up with is that if Lee uses his speed to a certain point he can penetrate rotation because the only way he could block a tailed beast was to spin faster, ex with the ten tails. But even then Neji was unable to block all of the projectiles it sent at him. But for the most part other than that you're probably right.


Also he can probably move faster than neji when it comes to him activating his rotation. ex fillers, Lee was insanely sped up without gates.

Well....Lee has been behind Neji since the very beginning, even admitted it (least in the anime). Speed is one of Lee's major strong points though, so it would come down to just how quickly Neji could react to it. Sadly, we'll never get to see that fight Kills me to say it, but Neji just isn't the best match up for Lee ;-;

Well let's look at it this way, lee could never beat neji in part 1

I have not seen one extra feat from lee in part 2 yet I have seen neji promoted to jounin and air palms from neji. That means neji has improved some what.

Since this is the case if lee couldn't beat neji then, I don't see how he could beat neji now.

Hand to hand combat would be foolish against neji, which is all lee has. Every blow neji delivers will damage is internal organs and block his chakra path ways so.. no gates.

Also neji has so many extra feats as well as taijutsu including rotation, air palms, 360 field vision and more.

Yet neji has beaten him every single time they fought and has been stated to be no match. And has only improved since part 1 yet I haven't seen one extra feat from lee apart from becoming chunin. Even still neji has became jounin.

If it was lee and neji was equal and then lee developed 5 gates that would automatically > neji as they were equal before. But that was not the case at all.

Also if lee fights neji in hand to hand combat neji will block his chakra path ways so he will not be able to use gates, lee's best bet is to use gates straight away but if he does that neji will be at full chakra so his ultimate defence will be at it's best and his heavenly rotation impenetrable

Yes but if he uses it straight away which I believe is he's best option neji's defences will be at it's best. But I would like to think lee's efforts of hardwork was not in vain so I am sure he's gates will bring him to the level that neji was at way above him in part 1.

You do realize that the Byakugan has like a 50m radius and an approximated 360 degree vision in accordance to its distance. Therefore Lee is never leaving his field of vision.

I find it funny that not a single one of you in this thread or site for that matter even knows or stated that Lee cannot go gates with out first doing primary lotus too open the first gate!

If he cannot successfully land primary lotus, no gates! Fact of manga. Can't believe no one even stated that fact. Smh

Also nejis chakra field will allow him to sense everything, and allow him too counter accordingly. Etc etc
