Does anyone know what Rikudou Sennin's staff actually do?

It seems to be the 'strongest' weapon in the Shinobi world, but does anyone here actually know what it does? Anyone with fact or theory about it please, feel free to post

is prob used for sealing, to be able to seal the 10 tails in one thing but to be able to seal it into your own body..well..you need some heavy duty equipment there..

it probably makes a jingling noise that distracted the ten tails long enuff for Rikudou to jump up and slap him on the forehead with it, similar to the Geezer Toad smacking Naruto in the face with that stick during sage training

The weapons the six path wields represents his two sides that got divided.

The sword for strength and power
And the staff for peace.

The staff the so6p is a special monk staff that are weapons of peace.
With the so6p having these two powers his elder son would resemble the sword power aka uchiha while the younger would resemble peace aka senju will of fire.

Its like asking what the sword he wielded did, all it did was represent strength and physical power.

There might be a chance where his two weapons are special in power but as of now it could be taken as symbology
