My solution for distracted driving
Is to drive a manual. I was teaching this girl in my apartment complex to drive a manual transmission because she was just given a car with a stick shift from her family.
While teaching her, she made a joke about how harder it would be to check/look at her phone because she is concentrating more on driving than worrying about missed texts. She was just lightening up the mood because she saw I was getting a little annoyed by her stalling the car more often then naught. Then I thought, that it is true, driving a manual gearbox would make a person concentrate more on driving and less prone to distracted driving caused by mobile phones.
Meaningless thread, but don't drive and text.

Nope, won't change anything. True story: my brother was once driving a stick while taking hits from a bong, smoking a cigarette, drinking a bottle of makers and a soda while talking to someone on his cellphone... He even showed me how e orchestrated all of this and at the time I thought it was hilarious, now I just think it's stupid.
