Fate in my opinion denotes free will.I do not see how a rational mind holds onto both concepts.Its like trying to have the cake and eat it too.

But life doesn't follow rational and the human mind is definitely not rational, no matter how hard you try. Fact is always stranger than fiction and our free will represents our ability to make decisions based upon other mental elements, unlike animals that simply follow instinct.

Destiny/fate, is too loose of a term, I think that we all follow a set timeline with a beginning and an end, riddled with multiple paths depending upon our decisions in life. However, it always starts at the point it is supposed to start and all paths end at the same point, no matter what decisions you make. When it is your time, it is your time.

I don't think fate exists. I guess at some points people can make serious choices which can make their lives go one way or another for certain, however it is their own mind and free will which makes that choice, they're not compelled by some type of fate. In my opinion at least.
