Eating a friend ?

Just watched some movie which revolved around some people who went hiking in some mountain just for fun, and ended up getting lost. They were there for days and were starving, and then when one of them died, the rest of the group ended up eating his body, since otherwise, they'd likely have ended up the same.

I was wondering, what would you have done in that situation ? Would you eat the body of someone you knew, to save yourself ? I personally don't think I could do it I know it may sound stupid to some people, but eating someone I've known before would be something I'd be unable to do. Well, at least that's what I think, I guess there's really no way to know for sure

Anyways, what would you do if you were in that situation ?

or use my friends corpse as bait for fishing

I wouldn't. You could always find food. You just got to know where to look. But I've also had some survival training. As long as I got water and shelter, I'll be good for weeks. I would eat them if and only if I was in a terrain that wouldn't allow me to hunt or I was imobile (I.E. broken leg).
