Are Naruto and Kurama a twisted take on a boy and his dog?
Call this a stupid idea if you want. My thought is that the character that actually knows Naruto the best that isn't Minato or Kushina would be Kurama. After all, this dog (yes, foxes are dogs) was literally with him at birth and is the character that has had to deal with Naruto's stupidity (Naruto's stupidity should be the best way to stop Edo Madara).
Kurama, were you not a fox but a domestic dog breed, Tosa is what you should be (For the record, as much I love vicious dog fighting breeds, I don't condone the bloody sport. I love vicious dog fighting breeds cause of their loyalty, appearance, and how channeling that aggression can/has been used for more practical purposes like therapy dogs).

I didn't get what you were saying the second part, but the first part yes, even if they didn't get along at all he does know Naruto thebest. I remember in one of the episodes Naruto is drooling over Sakura and Kurama says something like " you love her don't you ? " and Naruto is like " Who invited you in here !? " and Kurama said " Its not like I wanna be in here, I'm sealed remember ? " lol

There could have been a better explanation in the thread.

Stupid as in how Naruto acts.
The Tosa part was referring to the aggressive Tosa Inu, the largest known Japanese dog breed. BTW, someone clue me in how I get images uploaded as an avatar?

We could also argue that the first to accept Naruto as he is was Kurama because he's had to deal with Naruto every day of Naruto's life.
For thos who are curious, http://yaymicro.com/stock-image/tosa-inu-dog/1028954 is the place I got this beautiful black Tosa dog picture from.

Actually that's a pretty good reference. A boy & his giant chakra loaded fox. It also has a bit of a beauty & the beast vibe because Kurama started off being labeled a demon who was filled with hate but the friendship Naruto developed with him has changed his view of people.
