It wasn't Jiraiya. Jiraiya knew of Naruto, but they didn't officially meet until he was a kid. It was Hiruzen, as everyone else was afraid of him. After that, Naruto lived on his own. It kinda annoys me though... Kakashi knew of Naruto and had respect for Minato, but he didn't even introduce himself to Naruto until he was on the team 7.

He was not sitting at home you know..He is a ninja had missions or his own training to do. He didnot take naruto under his care butmaybe he looked after him from a distance.

Very true, but he could have been a figure in Naruto's life at an early age... but he chose not to be. It's not like Kakashi was on a mission 24/7. Iruka was a teacher and was busy doing teacher things, but he still made time to hang out with Naruto once in a while when he was free.

Iruka was a kid in the academy when Naruto was a baby, and I doubt any man did the work of raising him as a baby - it does not fit with the culture described in that world. Also, no important Ninja would have had time to care for a baby, and Hiruzen tried his hardest to hide Naruto's heritage, so he'd have outwardly been treated as all the other practically abandoned orphans we have seen in the story - probably some hired help or an orphanage, paid for by Hiruzen, took care of his physical (not emotional) needs, until he could manage somehow on his own (age 5 or so? they seem to mature early in this world).

Yes, this is what i thought. No ninja would have time to look after him. And so far they have always put him in with the general population, they never kept him locked up or assigned ninja to watch him.

With all the people that died along with Naruto's parents i'm sure there were plenty of orphans and there would be an orphanage.

Also, yes, The Third Hokage would likely keep an eye on him from afar... and maybe some Anbu. The Kyuubi is dangerous after all.

I've wondered this myself and my best guess would be that he was simply put into the orphanage system and some random nanny working took care of him as a baby. Hiruzen likely paid for all of his expenses and gave special attention to him though.

Maybe, but I doubt they will leave a 5-9 year old kid alone doing whatever he wants in a house with the most dangerous living chakra inside of him.

Cant hate on kakashi on this one orders from the third were that any one that knew who his father was had to keep it a secret to protect Naruto.....so kakashi probably stayed away bc he knew it would come up in conversation and didnt want to let it out.

Hiruzen giving money to Naruto was in a filler. Manga never shows Hiruzen giving money to Naruto or visiting him (he showed Naruto's room to Kakashi but Naruto was in the academy waiting for him for their first meeting).
