The last time Sasuke read the Tablet was when he had awakened his Sharingan and Itachi had come to town. A lot more text is available to him now!

Orochimaru knows this, but Sasuke doesn't. Orochimaru is taking Sasuke to read the tablet. Now that he has the EMS, he can read everything on the tablet!

I think it's widely accepted that Sasuke is heading to the place to read the Uchiha Tablet. And I agree, Sasuke shouldn't know that he's able to read more of the stone. Though I can't help but feel they're going to do something else as well - the question as to "The Man Who Knows Everything" remains unanswered.

If you read it with the EMS, it tells you how to get the Rinnegan. After you get the Rinnegan, there is not much else to know. When Madara got it, he immediately gained the knowledge on how to summon the Mazou and the Rikūdo no Jutsu along with some others.
