Why does everyone like the good guys instead of the bad.

In my opinion, from reading the manga, iv'e allways preffered the bad guys to the good guys.

Reason is, i find their history/personality and attitude much more interesting and cool to those of the good guys.

So we do see a lot of hate threads towards sasuke for example, and how most people like naruto over sasuke.

So lets make a comparisson.

Coolness of Bad Guys

Sasori - One of the most awesome deep backrgounds of any the characters in Naruto, Okay he was a member of Akatsuki so it makes him a bad guy. but if you look at his past how he made puppets of his parents as they were killed by shinobi. I mean wtf, that is so upsetting that he did that. and he then made himself into a puppet. How awesome is the imagination behind that and how kishi developed that Character.

Deidara - Stupidly powerful and in my opinion still should be alive. He had a very appealing personality to the fans of Naruto. He was passionate about Art which probably 5-10 % of the world are about 'their' chosen subject. he brought so much to naruto just being himself. he also was very entertaining and funny with his conversations with Tobi.

Orochimaru - I mean wow. The guy has got balls, leaving the village with all the sacred forbidden jutsus which he stole as he wanted to gain the ultimate body ( thru getting a sharinghan. ) he killed the 3rd hokage which is an amazing feat to do while nearly single handedly ( sound was under his command and control ) taking out Konoha. He had an awesome backrgound and auror like whenever you saw him he was in a dark low-key envioronment in his hideouts with all his experemtal freaks. wow, how much did he bring to Naruto.

Itachi - Do i really have to talk about how cool this guy was.

Sasuke - one of the coolest personalitys and temperments of any of the characters. we hardly ever see him shout scream or phrett, and very powerful and just look how much entertainment he's given us by invading the Kage Summit meeting!


Okay there are only 'some' of the cool bad guys, i could name many more ie. Zabuzza, Tobi, Hidan zetsu, kabuto, kimmimaro, Haku............

Right compare them to the good guys.

Rock lee- Very cool, funny and distinctive.

Ten-ten - omg... utter fail.

Naruto - very cool and never ceases to satisfy.

Stunade - i dunno, im on the fence on this one.

Jiraiya - powerful, very funny and cool. he has made nauruto what he is today.

Sakura- the single most annoying character in naruto with all the crying and the *****in and i hate it when she hits naruto for doin his sexy jutsu.

But even so, lookin at the backgrounds of the good and the bad, it is Obviuous to me that the bad are much cooler and interesting then the good guys.


I mean, no1 has a cooler background then sasori and itachi. Deidara is just immense and tobi is the funniest guy when he is with deidara.

I like most of the characters , except those with cursed mark, because they are ugly then they use it xD Yes , Sasuke too.

The good guys aren't lame, but the bad guys simply rock the entire series

so was pain even though he is more like a filler guy I mean he just appeared twice, fighting jiraiya, attacking konoha and he had no role in the basic story ( uchiha clan and konoha) but he was cool as well

zabuza was simply the best bad guy in naruto part 1

on the other hand we've got Lee, he is funny and strong, naruto he always gets the cool epic scenes and Gaara the coolest good guy in the series

Yeah,story would suck if there was no bad characters. They always give nice colors to the story,but eventually they die or turn good. Like Nagato he turned good and died right after.
In my opinion best characters are bad and good at the same time.

Pfft Pain was seen as the AL for a long time giving orders throughout Part 2 and blew up the main village, a feat no one in the manga has achieved :mad:

Bad guys are usually cooler because they don't play the rules and do what they want plus they seem to dress good as well. Us normal people like them because some like to fantasize about living freely w/o restraint, not caring about other peoples judgement and being reckless. Well for me that is.

Naruto had a crappy childhood. As a matter of fact he's going through alot of pretty crappy stuff and he's not a villan. And Deidara's backround wasn't shown so we don't really know about him. The word "antagonist" means a character that is against the "protagonist" not a bad person. To me the "bad guys" in animes are treated pretty unfairly some times...

I don't think it's they hate the bad guys. Hell I think they're cool. you can't have a good story without a proper antagonist. But lets be honest. People like to pick the winning side. And in the end that will be Naruto and the Konoha gang.... just the way it is. lol

How the hell you leave out Shikamura he is "THE" best character when it comes to coolness, personality, and his Jutsu's are dope, if he got some good training from a Jiraya, or someone on a Hokage level he'd be too dangerous. Look how far he got with Asuma, he could only get better with someone stronger.
