Though If I had to guess I'd say the anime would be showing the reincarnated kage vs allied shinobi forces & Naruto and Bee Vs Itachi & Nagato..

it's a good question but if you think where the ninja storm 2 ended to where we are now it wouldn't make for a very long game i don't think. but three months is 12/11 episodes which ain't much either.
