Since Everyone Tells Me To...
Since everyone is telling me to read the manga instead of the anime, should I start from the beginning of Shippuden or what? How different are they? How long will it take me to get caught up? Sorry i'm a nub lol.

well, start from the very last chapter and read backwards. It will take a while, but when you get back to the first one, you will understand what is going on, and you will not be surprised by anything. lol
OT: start with the beginning. Don't start with shippuden, unless you have watched the anime

I would suggest from start of series till current where we are all at becuase if you have only been watching episodes there are allot of filler's.
It may take a day maybe 3 to finish depending on how fast you read.

Re: Since Everyone Tells Me To...
Believe me, a little while ago i was watching anime and wondering if manga is worth it. Read the manga for everything new and watch the anime for the fights
Start the manga from where you are. It should take 1-2 weeks to catch up.

Re: Since Everyone Tells Me To...
The only big difference is the filler episodes, other than that Shippuden covers almost everything in the manga. I recommend starting manga from the beginning of Shippuden, not the beginning of the entire series.

Re: Since Everyone Tells Me To...
Why are you listening to what other people are telling you anyway? Eh, I would do the same thing.
Manga is pretty awesome only thing is you don't get the same reaction and quality as to a anime. Personally don't start at the beginning but rather at the start of the war or right after the pain arc.
That's where the meat and potatoes are at. And you can look ahead to what's going to happen.

Re: Since Everyone Tells Me To...
I would start with the last anime you saw and read ahead if you dont mind spoiling it for yourself even though watching the anime is still worth it half the time i forget what happens when the anime comes out!! Then you can read backwards if you want since there are minor differences

Start from the beginning if you have the attention span and time for it.... me personally I'm so busy I would start from beginning Part II, no harm there :D

Re: Since Everyone Tells Me To...
i reccommend watching the anime from the very beginning, it's more enjoyable and you can also enjoy the fillers (as you wouldnt know for sure they're filler :P). then continue from the manga where the anime ends to catch up. it will take you a while but it's totally worth it imo. and you'll enjoy going back to the manga all over again more than you'd enjoy the anime if you read the manga first imo.

Actually that's funny. Everything you need to know about part one is noted in part two.
Hahaha! Seriously you won't have a problem.
