-What is a Search Bar?

Search bars are tools used to execute Internet search queries. If you're looking for a website with information pertaining to bird migration in Asia, for instance, using the search bar tool you can search the Web for pages comprised of text that includes the words used in your query.

The search bar is located at the top right section in the Forum Section of the NarutoBase site:

► How to get there from HomePage:

On the Homepage, Naruto manga, Naruto Anime and Naruto section, you will not find a searchbar, click on the Forum section to gain access to NarutoBase's Forum and the Search Bar

-How to use the Search Bar?

-Try to be specific, use more than 1 Keyword, this will process the search faster

► Simple Search:

1. Specific Terms:

As shown above, the Search Engine is going to look for the keyword(s) you typed in the Search Bar. It will look for threads containing this/these word(s). In this case it was the word ''Kazekage''.

2. Specific Members/Usernames:

This time, the Search Engine will look for threads where I have posted in. As you can see all the threads are marked green, as a sign that I have posted a reply in the thread. This is ofcourse, because I dialed in my own User Name. If you dial in another User Name other than your own, the threads will not be marked green, but the person you are searching for, did indeed reply to the threads showing up.

Also, between the Search Results, you may find the User's profile page, because of the Visitor's Messages sent to a specific person by another person.

► Advanced Search:

► Search Single Content Type:

1. Search Type: Posts, Groups, Group Messages or Visitor Messages?

2. Keyword(s): Enter Keyword(s) and choose to search for Entire Posts, or the titles only

3. User Name: Possibility to enter a User Name here

4. Tag: Possibility to enter a tag here

5. Search in Forum(s): Choose a specific NarutoBase Forum Section

6. Search by Prefix: Choose a specific Prefix

7. Find threads with: Choose your preferred amount of replies to the specific thread

8. Find Posts: Choose specific Dates

9. Sort results by: Sort results by specific feats, e.g. ''Number of Views''

10. Show results as: Choose between Threads or Posts

- Reset Button: Set everything back to default, and is located on the right bottom of the page

I think it's sad we need a sticky for this, but we do. I feel like NB needs a sticky for everything because 60% of the site is so retarded.

Good work I suppose but it won't change things. If(keyword if) this gets stickied it'll just be one more sticky that people don't read.

There´s a little mistake I want to point out, Valen.

The marked Green threads mean that the logged-in member posted in it

I mean, if you posted in a thread I didn´t post, I won´t be able to see the green marker.

Only you can see the green marker since you posted in that thread.

Nice work. It's great to see members contributing to the Base rather than arguing in VS threads or spamming.

Hopefully this will be moved to the FAQ or 'How to' thread.
