Actually making Naruto hokage and ending it would not be a good ending.
Because, he must go through what a hokage goes through like all those documents, missions, villagers' problems etc.
Just a happy hokage like Naruto will not fit into a good ending. Infact, a dying hokage while fighting and killing his villainous friend Sasuke will be best suited with a farewell for the end.
