Is Minato interesting?

Sure, Minato's extremely powerful, I'm not denying that. But he really doesn't have an interesting personality, internal conflict, character development or anything that would make him a colorful character. He's an archetypal, strong, good looking hero, whereas the rest of Masashi Kishimoto's characters such as Naruto, Sasuke, Gaara, Hinata, Itachi etc. have much more depth to them.

you cant really say that as we know little of minato's story... all ninja have gone through emotional stress at some point and have gone through things... we hardly ever see minato so we cant say he isnt interesting when we know nothing of his background story

he isnt interesting because we dont get shown of his background and he isnt a main focus unlike some of the other characters ... im sure if we knew more about him and how he learned his techs and where he came from and wat he went through like most other characters you would find him a lot more interesting

like other members said, we haven't seen much about minato to know more about his personality in the different stages of his life. but we saw him as a hokage, and kishi always view his hokage's as powerful, firm, extremely skilled (even if you think their attacks are not flashy, it was designed to be on another level), strong minded (calm and knows how to act) and fearless. again we saw very few of minato and mostly it was in combat, he was like the other hokage's when it comes to personality, gentle, confident and cared a LOT about the village.

well if thats the case then it comes to personal opinion i for one find him quite interesting and i know a few others aswell that do

Well, i think that he's an awesome character. I might have to agree that he has a bit of a flat personality, but we don't know his background. I think he ROCKS! Hehe

Well personality wise he is the typical Hokage that was prepared to die for his village, not bad but tbh EVERY good character in Naruto has that exact same ideology of 'dying to protect what they love' so he is nothing special :/

I think Yes.... The way he shows his intellect in every part of his life and clear anticipation is just outstanding...
To get 'once in a gen.' praise by his teacher in his teens and later made many people believe that he was the savior...

Depends on what an individual finds interesting.

I for one find him interesting because he is a natural genius with no kekkai genkai, and yet he still kicks ass.

He developed techniques that are extremely powerful and require almost no hand seals so he doesn't waste time performing hand seals.

Him and Itachi are possibly the Mary sue's of naruto... Minato just hasn't gotten enough page time to have an in depth story or to see if he has faults etc..
