WRONG. They couldn't sense it earlier because its made of Natural Chakra, this was all established in the chapter titled Juubi.
They couldn't sense it when it came out because it was made of Natural Chakra.

They were senseing Naruto. The Juubi is made of Natural chakra which ONLY A Sage can sense. This has been said several times earlier in the manga.

Naruto could only sense it in Sage Mode. Kurama openly said this, when it first appeared they all thought they had killed it because they couldn't sense it.

how do you know that sasuke put up an act ?, Sasuke don't care about Naruto anymore at that point, its just that simple,
