When has Sasuke ever done anything out of selfishness?

His entire life has been about avenging the slaughter of his Mother, his Father, and his clan. Is that selfish? To put his own life at horrible risk for people who aren't even alive anymore, just so the pain inside his chest has meaning? To make sure, that his Brother's horrendous suffering doesn't come to naught.

He became an avenger out of selfishness. He abandoned his friends who all nearly died trying to get him back, and what did he do? Go off with the enemy to gain power. So what if he was doing it out of vengeance, vengeance itself is a selfish act, an act taken out of a need to make yourself feel better for the loss you have felt.
Sasuke is one of the most selfish in the series to be honest. Not on par with Madara but he's in the top 5 IMO.

Sasuke IS SELFISH. Killing an ENTIRE Village of Innocent people who all have nothing to do his clans slaughter is Selfish. There is no Eye for an Eye when it was HIS BROTHER who made the choice. if anything Itachi was Selfless because he gave up everything he loved to save innocent lives. The Uchiha clan was a bunch of traitors, They ALL were Ninjas and planned on killing good people for over something as trivial as being Hokage. if you havent noticed not everyone in Konoha is a Ninja.

What is going on here is Sasuke is saying "I am your brother, I love you and I can't help but forgive you, EVEN THOUGH YOU WERE WRONG AND ARE STILL WRONG"

I think you missed the real relevance of what Sasuke meant. He is saying that yes he loves him but its because of that love that he will stop at nothing to destroy Konoha. Even tho Itachi holds the village above all else and sacrificed himself for its protection, Sasuke hates that the village endured peace at the expense of his clan and family. even tho it was not the village but one person (Danzo) who made the executive decision to wipe out the Uchiha clan, still Sasuke now SELFISHLY blames the innocent people of Konoha and not the actions of his own clan, his brother, and danzo, maybe even some of the other higher ups.
