I'd like to believe that a good majority of you have not completely been taking advantage of free manga scans, and then complain when there is no manga for a week or two.

That is stupidly foolish. The money is the ONLY way to show support, Kishi doesn't base his manga on how many people from Narutobase read his manga for free.

Mangaka need the money to buy food, to pay the bills, in short to be able to live.
Also, Shonen Jump actually looks at how many manga are being sold of a serie. If the polls don't turn out well for a serie and the sale isn't going well either, a serie can be in danger of being removed from the magazine because it doesn't bring enough profit.
So if nobody bought a manga and only read it online for free, then there would be no series made.

Authors get paid by the amount of books they sell, it's the same with mangaka, it's the same for everyone else with a job.

1. It's a respect thing...to support Kishimoto: the guy who works and toils to draw manga for us fans.
2. So you have the right to complain when the manga doesn't come out on time.

I'm gonna get off my soap box though. Heh...I mean I only have a few manga volumes myself. It's not too late though. I plan on purchasing more to redeem myself.

Anyways, I also wanna buy all the databooks as well.

In Dutch I have the serie from volume 1-30 and in English from volume 27 till 59 (waiting for the 60th to be released in February). I got impatient with the slow Dutch translation so I switched to the English version LOL
