The Uchiha Clan: Evil, Cursed Or Misunderstood? Who's To blame for their downfall?

This is a question i've been thinking about for quite a long time, do you think the uchiha were truly evil or just influenced by the Curse of Hatred?


As we can see here, the uchiha and senju came from the sage of the six paths. We all know the story, the senju clan ancestor (younger son) inherited the sage's life force and physical energy thus going on to create the Senju clan::


While the Uchiha clan ancestor (elder son) inherited the sage's powerful chakra, his dojutsu and spritiual energy creating the Uchiha clan::


But by the Uchiha clan ancestor inheriting the sage's spiritual energy he inherited the Juubi's chakra and will which has been passed down throughout the uchiha clan, creating the Curse of Hatred


Another thing that could support the Uchiha being evil was the way in which they gained power. They had to see an emotional event to awaken their sharingan, kill or see their best friend getting killed to awaken the Mangekyou Sharingan, and to take their brothers eyes to obtain the EMS



This curse was almost extinguished by the time Hashirama became hokage, with only Madara holding onto it. He was infuriated that Hashirama had been voted hokage instead of him and vowed to become an avenger.

But of course, the curse was rekindled backed into the Uchiha, when They were unjustly accused of being behind the Nine-Tails attack on Konoha even though, in reality it was set up by Madara and executed by Obito. They began plotting the coup which of course was stopped by Itachi as on that fateful night he slaughtered all of them.

So, do you think that the Uchiha were truly evil and made those decisions by themselves, or were they cursed by the continuous path of the Juubi's will, or infact were they just simply misunderstood and misinterpreted by the others? Who really is to blame for their downfall?

You have NO idea what the "curse of hatred" is. It's completely metaphysical, it's not an actual "thing". It's a philosophical term used to describe the "situation" of the "ninja world" that cause of the perpetual hatred from the viewpoint of the one who uses it. That doesn't actually mean it's "true".

To simply say...Yes, they are in fact responsible for their downfall......They sign a peace treaty....Senju voted Hokage.

An Uchiha has a problem and screws **** up.

Tobirama sees his brother attacked by a man who had befriended them....places the Uchiha where he can watch them, but still makes them in charge of the police force. While a police force sounds lame, they have to watch for shinobi killers of killers...so one could almost say it is his praise of just how talented they are. It also keeps them under observation yes. Which would have ended during Minato or Naruto's reign....I mean it even seemed like Hiruzen was trusting them considering how people like Obito were in squads...heck, Itachi was in the Anbu.

If the Uchiha were easily considered one of the greatest clans...even a noble clan of Konoha. They sealed their fate by planning a coup, and not hearing peace talks -.-.....

Aside from Itachi, Shisui, and maybee Izuna....the other Uchiha have all craved power, and have been selfish/corrupt.

Madara: couldn't stand not being Hokage...look at the world now because of his actions

Obito: couldn't handle loss the true way (The way Hinata and Naruto described)....decides to end the world...because hey, no matter who he kills, he can make ghosts of them.

Sasuke: He still may have a chance of redemption....honestly hoping so. Anyways he spat in the face of his brother's wishes for his clan that was in the wrong in the first place...
