Has Madara and Obito lost their "imtimidation" factor?
Basiclly have they lost that "eerie" sensation and momentum. When Obito was Tobi, he was awesome and seemed pretty dangerous even when he was unmasked for a little bit. But now he talks too much and seems like a regular "villian" whose nothing special.
Madara was oftw when he returned and his techniques were OP. When he slaughtered the 5 kages he seemed unstoppable but know all that momentum seems to be gone. Hes just an observer for now.
They dont fell like villains at all anymore because of the Juubi(which was disappointing and failed to live up to the hype).

Re: Has Madara and Obito lost their "imtimidation" factor?
I agree. Tobi was far more sinister because of the mask, but now that he's been unmasked and his identity confirmed he's not sinister at all. He's almost like a teenage girl going through her first menstrual cycle, LOL!
Madara's powers were just too hyped. I believe that Kabuto wasn't lying when he said he added to his strength. His observing to me though is far more sinister than Obito's constant whining and shouts of, 'I'm going to destroy this world, blah blah blah'...

Madra's not taking things seriously. He's having too much fun watching their failed attempts at stopping him

Neither of them seemed intimidating to me... even in the beginning.
I've fondly been calling them "The Odd Couple" as of late...

Obito and Madara are still badasses.
Obito has powers that is yet to be revealed.
Naruto's Kyuubi Juice won't hold long against the devastating trio.

I agree that Obito probably has some abilities we haven't seen but I can't imagine he's hiding much at this point. Naruto is holding quite well against them with the help of the SA as seen in the last chapter. In the last chapter it looked to me like they were winning, and may defeat them soon....I think this battle isn't going to be 100% resolved here. For some reason I don't see Obito and Madara both being defeated and gone forever anytime soon...
To the op
I agree about Obito but not really Madara. Obito seemed more poweful while he was still masked. He seemed untouchable. Not only that but he had the jinchuuriki's as his edo pawns making him raw power-wise basically unmatchable. He had 7 tailed beasts. Right now he has the juubi, yes, but even he admits he doesn't have complete control over it.
Madara seems more dangerous ATM because he has more power by himself. He has a large array of OP techs that he doesn't need to rely on summons for. We haven't seen Obito do much besides a fire tech and his usual s/t jutsu to evade enemy offense. He's still very dangerous because of this as it's going to be hard to hit him, but he's been hit by both Naruto and Minato in the past so he isn't invinceable. I don't see much getting through PS besides maybe Naruto with a high powered TBB

Re: Has Madara and Obito lost their "imtimidation" factor?
Madara feels less intimidating because he does nothing, just stands there, commenting from time to time. wtf? He as if has no place there, at least Obito and Naruto talk with each other(too much though)
I agree with you on Obito too. I was actually quite fine with him until this chapter. but "Do not underestimate us!" ???? what is this? Words of some lame one-dimensional comic villain. Could you ever imagine Tobi saying something like that? Pathetic. Kishi ruined him pretty much. That guy was supposed to be ruthless mastermind-manipulator? wut?

We don't really have to imagine it, because Obito has demanded not to be underestimated a number of times before when he still had the mask. Though I guess you could say there's a difference, because back then it was as if he arrogantly warned them and now it feels like he's desperate wants to be taken seriously.
But I still agree with you in a different way. Tobi and Obito are quite different, and I constantly see Obito doing stuff or saying things that I could never imagine from someone like Tobi. The majority of the readers of Naruto are male and they just don't enjoy overemotional characters. That's one of the reasons why Sakura is so hated.
And the worst part.. is that if Kishi stuck with the Tobi personality for Obito, people wouldn't complain so much about the motive Because characters that act like they don't give a **** don't need good motives, just look at Orochimaru.

Re: Has Madara and Obito lost their "imtimidation" factor?
i think its more that we know the reason behind what he is doing.
when we didnt know why he was doing all this it was all "this guy is going to destroy the whole world"
now its more like "obito wants to cast an unstopable genjutsu on the world so he can be with the one he loves, rin", obito always talked a lot, just now we know why he is like that, it comes off more as whining.
also atm we are getting a lot of dialogue but the reason for all that is because there is only 15-18 pages. this would really take like 5 mins for the last 5-6 chapters of dialogue.

Madara's powers were just too hyped. I believe that Kabuto wasn't lying when he said he added to his strength.
Except he WAS lying. Madara stated that kabuto didn't "create this strength" and the harishima DNA was implanted by Madara BEFORE Madara died.
Also I agree that tobi is ALOT less badass without the mask. I mean with the mask, even though itw as pretty much confirmed he was, in fact, tobi he had an aura of malevolence and just breathed evil intent. Now he's ****ing talking way to much and while he ****ed kakashi up he got his **** slapped in turn(well, one or two punches but still).

Re: Has Madara and Obito lost their "imtimidation" factor?
Yeah they have lost their intimidation, but Obito is because without the mask he loses his mysterious presense which is what originally made him so menacing.
Madara is simply because all he does is stand their and make cocky statements. He has done so little, period.

Both of their mystery factors came from the mystery of tobi. Now we know he's obito, they aren't that sinister.

I mean, I remember Tobi as this guy

who snaps necks like nothing, not kneels people in the face in rage:confused: It's hard to imagine current Obito doing stuff like that.
