If Natsu and Gildarts...

if Natsu and Gildarts sparred now , would Natsu stand a chance?
This is not a vs thread.
Basically i ask this because Natsu with 2nd origin was fast enough and strong enough to hold Stings fist when he performed an extremely powerful spell IN DRAGON FORCE and WHITE DRIVE combo.

he then proceeds to beat the living sh*t out of a pair of 4rd gen dragon slayers
This proves natsu is probably strong enough and fast enough to spar with the big-G

so would Natsu be able to land a punch on Gildarts that would actually hurt him?

yes i have , you talk as if gildarts cant be beaten even by the likes of zeref....who would probably do what gildarts did on tenrou(vs natsu) but intimidate gildarts instead...

too bad he is not the main character. Lucy is. The series started out with the focus on Lucy and remains to focus on lucy. Natsu is just the character they made to make people like fairy tail because of Lucy's lack of strength

All out now I think Natsu would stand a better chance but we don't know yet exactly how powerful gildarts is in a battle if they did a flash back of his fight with Acnologia then we would have an understanding. As it sits now Natsu would probly still lose but would suprise gildarts that's for sure.

he already land a good hit on Gildarts on Tenroujima before they disappeared, he could still do that much, but he would most probably still lose. Gildarts always holding back in his fights because his magic is too powerful and deadly.

2nd origin is basically a part of the "container"
its like having more chakra available , he did use second origin , because if he didnt , like before the time skip ; him and gajeel would have been f*cked , its like fighting 2 laxus with another dragon slayer boost( light/shadow drive)

not necessarily , it may have been something only edolas researchers know about , that we are unsure of , because we are unsure as to whether any one outside fairy tail on earthland can use the 2nd origin

nah Erza had it long ago and even that girl with Jellal knew about it. also she was the one who unlocked it for Natsu and the others.
