Unless you're a Lee fan I really don't see any reason as to why this chapter would be any good. It was the same **** all over again. Stupid speech, Naruto handing out chakra, a pointless attack by the alliance, Kurama blowing Naruto, and one page of Sasuke.

I see what you're getting at, and I agree that superficially it doesn't make a lot of sense. Hopefully Kishi will clarify. In the meantime, here's how I see it: unlimited chakra means only that Madara's chakra reserves do not deplete. It does not mean that Madara can conjure an infinite amount of chakra at any instant to pull off any technique he wants. In other words, his chakra capacity at any moment is finite, but continually refilled. Presumably, controlling the Juubi requires that he direct all of his chakra to this task, and if he were to divert some chakra to perform some other action (summon meteors or whatever), then his control over the Juubi would be weakened. Essentially, his power level is finite, but his endurance is unlimited.

I think it's important to take into account the fact that, sure, we are given one chapter a week so things might seem mediocre, but they are really meant to be read smoothly in volume form. With that in mind, I think that the recent chapters will work very nicely together in the volume it comes out in, complete with a dying Neji cover (and maybe a bunch of shinobi in the background kyuubi cloaked?)

Anyway, I think that the chapter, while repeating a lot of themes from the last chapter, had very dynamic changes for the manga. Primarily, the complete rallying of the ninja world for a comeback, with Naruto as the forefront leader. Last chapter Naruto drove home the genre of the manga: they are ninja, those that must endure. That was an echo to his father Minato, that also had to silence Kushina's grievances by saying that "we are a family of shinobi." This week, Naruto helped the remaining alliance members to "endure" the deaths of their comrades (specifically Neji) through the use of the kyuubi-cloaks. I doubt that Neji will be brought up much after this, as Lee's acceptance of Neji's death was the last milking of that death that we could have gotten out. Hopefully there wont be anymore cheesy bird references. The cage was broken, plot forward time.

Madara and Obito are not being trolled, in my opinion. Obito is being true to his fighting style and letting nothing touch him. That is his character summed up right there: No attachments, not being affected by anything in this world. Therefore, him disconnecting from that dimension and being severed from the juubi was somewhat expected. Madara on the other hand was bifurcated by a youthful kick from Lee. Nothing... poetic to say about that. Lee is the guy we will look to now for taijutsu, seeing as Neji is gone and Guy needs to be surpassed. Makes sense that the two "dropout" ninja were leading the charge, as that is one of the (many) themes in Naruto. For those saying that Madara and Obito should have used the rinnegan powers, I propose this. Nagato had his rinnegan since he was around... lets say an academy student. He only seems to have used a distinctly rinnegan ability (in this case, shinra tensei) upon witnessing Yahiko's sacrifice. This was some many years after he gained the rinnegan, after he mastered all the elements. Maybe it takes a while to properly use the rinnegan abilities? Madara has only been seen using the gaki-dou, relying more on his sharingan abilities, and despite Obito's claims at being able to use ningen-dou, he has only used the 6 paths of pain ability to control other corpses. They only had their rinnegan for relatively short periods of time, so maybe they just cant use it properly/lack the chakra to. They DO have to focus on controlling that lump of natural energy that is the juubi, so they rely on their basic defenses when dealing with everyone else. Madara is a regenerating corpse, why not eat the kick? Also, we are talking about a fox-cloak+ fox-cloaked Guy boosted+ naturally fast Rock Lee. He must have been disgustingly too fast for Madara to do anything but be happy that he is already dead.

Of course, despite liking the general flow of things, I think that its being a little too drawn out. Complete with a lot of cheese. But meh, its a shonen manga, so let's not judge it too harshly through our jaded, adult eyes. I think a switch to Sasuke would be a nice change of pace, because it seems that he WILL be the final boss for Naruto. One that will be ROFLstomped if he doesnt get some kind of enhancement. But in either case, Naruto represents the MAIN story (being the main character) and Sasuke is the the elevated side story. Let's enjoy both.

Jubi is free, Sasuke reached his destination, Obito and Madara got easily rocked by Naruto and Lee. Things are going to get interesting no matter what. Then there is the Kages still also, could a Naruto clone possibly reaching toward them?

Well, that was a disappointment. No plot progression, more of the same crap we've already seen in a new package. At least Lee was cool. And a brief explanation on the chakra thing, but Kurama is getting annoying. I liked him better when he was a jerk. Overall 2/5.

I agree, I hate that everytime we see the dreaded 9 tailed demon fox who is a manifestation of pure hate hes all like "oh Naruto, youre the greatest Naruto, no one can do it like you Naruto." I understand why he agreed to work with Naruto but he turned into Narutos biggest fangirl in one arc.

I don't think that kyuubi is actually a manifestation of hate actually... more like he grew to hate many things after seeing humans do their wicked things. And along comes a human who is so... good? Kyuubi has regained what most of us have lost... some faith in humanity.

Woow this chapter is amazing. It has everything I wanted plus more. And totally makes use of Neji's death as very poignant to the heart of the battle with Naruto and the rest of the characters.

It would be pretty badass if Lee opened the gates and used some OP move, but the gates are kind of a like Naruto's rasengan. Once you see the gates up to four opened, it's all pretty much the same. Unless you want Lee to open the fabled 8th gate and die. When people have reached their style's potential, they get killed off like Neji.. I can wait for Lee to get stronger at his pace.

This chapter kicked so much ass.

Naruto's gone from the guy who won by a fart, to one of the five strongest people in the manga. Ahhh, character development, how we love thee.

At first I was cheering because of how awesome everyone was acting, how much ass they were kicking, but then I realized something:

If Naruto and Lee just severed Obito's and Madara's connections to the Ten-Tails...

...then...

...what's stopping the Ten-Tails from doing whatever the hell it wants now that it's woken up?

Remember those "Oh God, We're Screwed" faces Obito and Madara made?

Okay, so let me see if I got it: according to many of you, Naruto as a story is going downhill because Madara's Edo Tensei body got cut ONCE by a Taijutsu User's kick? Oh right, and also because the Friendship Message is getting "boring". I quote "Kishi overpowers his villains so much that in the end, he has to troll them in order for the good guys to win". Sigh. Sigh. Facepalm. Another sigh. And another facepalm on top of it.

Yet ANOTHER display of mind simplicity. "Yeah, there are villains and there are good guys, so the good guys must win regardless of the villain's strenght" ... For God's sake. Naruto is NOT a manga about bad guys and good guys. If it was, then why in the love of Tsunade's breasts would he bother even thinking about the "villains" past, and hardships? A villain is a villain no matter the circumstances, right? This is not a Manga about good vs evil. This is a Manga about HOW TO CREATE PEACE. If you actually READ the Manga, you'll see both sides of the war fight for their own sense of Peace. It pains my eyes and brain to see so much hate against the Manga. Having your own opinion is fine, but ruining other people's mood because you think your opinion is absolute is just annoying and irritating.

It's been about "Friendship Bull****" since the very beginning, in fact, Kishimoto's first idea of the Manga was about Naruto trying to find a "real friend", in case you didn't know. About Madara not countering or doing something about Lee's kick... *Sigh. Okay. What would you like him to do then?

1) "Shinra Tensei": Okay, fine do it. Boom. Shinra Tensei. But then there is a time period in which he can't use it again, and there are... Uhhh... Thousands or more than thousands of people coming at you?

2) "Susanoo": Okay fine. Susanoo. Boom. However, If you can melt it, crack it, or even trespass it as people kept doing with Sasuke's, then it's not gonna be too useful, is it? Especially since it's not like against the five Kages, which are FIVE people, but against THOUSANDS of ninjas, including some more powerful than those Kages. Just think logically, for God's sake.

3) "Amaterasu or Tsukiyomi": Yayyyyy, let's burn them/mind-own them with our Mangenkyou! But then again, they are THOUSANDS. By the time I'm done with SOME of them, the others get him. DUH!

4) "Bansho Ten'nin or any other Rinnegan ****": I think I have already made my point about how many people are there coming to Madara?

Oh, and by the way... Remember he is using his Mokuton already (Well, not exactly Mokuton but you get the idea) through Hashirama's cells to strengthen the Juubi. Also remember that he is so proud of his Susanoo that when he saw he didn't kill anybody with it, he said it would be a disgrace to show it again. Too bad. God complexes are *****es, aren't they?

To explain Obito's lack of use of the Rinnegan... Um, sorry what have you been reading until now? Remember the battle against the Jiinchuuriki? And how Naruto needed several chapters (including being eaten by the Yonbi) to take the blessed black rods away from every one of them? And then remember how Kakashi wondered if he couldn't use the same techniques as Pain because he already was using all his eye might to CONTROL the jiinchuurikis? I mean, you really don't pay attention to ****, do you? You just like hating and hating and hating, and then you ask the same stupid questions and don't realize the answers are right there in front of your halfassed nose. All because Your Majesty's expectations of the Manga were not met successfully. Tch! What a drag these haters are. Man!

Obito needed the damn Rinnegan to control the Jiinchuurikis AND Gedou Mazou. Isn't it OBVIOUS that he would need it ALSO to control the JUUBI, who is far stronger and more powerful than the other two? DUH!!!!!!! The second he wastes a Shinra Tensei on the Alliance, he'll lose control of the Juubi and the Juubi will kill him and blow him to smitherines!! Seriously, there HAS to be something wrong with your head to not see this. Oh yeah, I know what it is. You want to see Naruto fail, because Sasuke is your ****ing sexual fantasy, and you want him to ****ing penetrate your asses. That's why.

Anyway, I loved the chapter. Amost cried with it. Excited to see who it is Sasuke will meet, I really hope it is Shisui, we need some real deal Uchiha besides Madara, Obito and Itachi to shut these annoying Sasuke Fanboys up. Nice kick, Lee. Keep it up. It would be nice to see you actually fighting Madara and wreaking havoc with him.

The fight is not over until it's over. Obito and Madara aren't desperate, so they're not gonna try and fight for real until they really are. Don't lose faith on Kishimoto. Especially not with such foolish, childish and worthless opinions.

this chapter was awesome. i mean come on, there was samurai action. Although, i was confused temari used that net attack, but it seemed like mifunes attack went first and his was horizontal. its like the attack was misplaced and inverted. the thing that was wrong with lee's attack was he just flew over there. i didn't know receiving a ton of chakra turns you into a tsuchikage.

Again, you're forgetting Obito's entire Rinnegan was being used to control both the Jiinchuurikis and Gedou Mazou. The explanation is given by Kakashi himself in here:

So, yeah. I proved my point with Obito. With Madara, I believe he doesn't have an infinite source of Chakra. What he has is basically an inmortal body. Being inmortal doesn't exclude you from normal, human conditions like bleeding (Itachi bled while using his Mangekyou) the only exception being perhaps (PERHAPS) being tired. Chakra is never unlimited, at least not for a human. It is for the Kyuubi and for the Juubi, but not for Madara. He's not all powerful. He got beaten by Hashirama, and not even Hashirama was all powerful. They were both the strongest ninja of their time, but the time has changed. You can't expect Madara to remain being the strongest forever.

As far as I'm concerned, Naruto's relationship with the Sage of the Six Paths is way too strong, particularly with the Sage's younger Son. The one who replaced him. And the Younger son IS more powerful than Madara, which can perfectly make sense.

Loved every bit of this chapter. Forget all you haters that have one agenda, and that is to hear about Sasuke. There is more to this manga than him, reguardless of how epic he may be. Loved the refrence back to his parents, and the firm ground it laid for Narutos new found ability, being able to pass Kuramas chakra off to others, which means we may see a lot more of that in the future. Plain and simple 5/5. Excellent.
