Everyone keeps talking about how Lee ''supposedly'' owned Madara, but the real thing that was important in this chapter was that they made them both lose (temporary) control of the Juubi.

Here's the panel where they cut the roots that connect them to the Juubi:

And here it is again from another angle:

So yah, this probably means the final stage of the Juubi's transformation will go bat**** crazy and get out of control, meaning Madara and Obito must strive to get a hold of it again.

Take note of the second-final panel, both Obito and Madara are on the battleground NOT on the Juubi.

I actually don't like Madara, i'm just saying everyone thinks they were going at the Juubi with the intent to kill Madara and Obito whereas it's obvious that it's to disconnect them from the Juubi. It was part of Shikamaru's dad's plan i suppose.
