The only time he got hit turns out it was a wood clone, something tells me he's gonna come from behind the juubi's ear with his troll face...

Madara couldn't move because he was connected to the Ten-Tails, which Lee broke with his kick. Now both him and Obito have no connection to it so it's anyone's game at the moment.

severing the connection (attacking the mind) to the 10 tails doesn't make sense to me: now they have a giant ugly rabid dog of its leash, a guy that solo'd the kages, and the guy who declared war all being free to move about.

I don't think he is too worried, really. Said it in another thread, the alliace can't win that one alone. I bet the disturbed connection to the juubi will have some negative (for Naruto) and unknown effect. Maybe all the kyuubi chakra will get absorbed.
