Creativity is always more than welcomed.
As a descent profile maker myself, I know very well that it is way harder to create a nice profile based on light colors than it is to make one based on black. I personally dislike it that I see mainly dark profiles on NB.

Depends on alot of things, not just if based on light or dark colors.
