The reason Obito helped Itachi

Now people say the plot for Obito could be deeper, that he isn't doing all this for Rin. I agree Obito isn't doing it for Rin at all, that is just the reason he didnt tell Kakashi he was alive.

But to say that it deepens towards him helping out Itachi I have to disagree. I believe the only reason Obito helped Itachi is because Uchiha's probably have the power to over come the Eye of The Moon Plan.

I have an idea that could be a little far fetched.
I think in that time obito already wanted to betray madara, and how can he?. Simple he would help itachi to kill uchihas and then sasuke would be alone, I think his main plan was, get sasuke and make him into an evil person for his purposes.

That's false, obito always wanted sasuke instead of madara taking part of his plan.

Well that's my idea a bit far fetched i know :D
And obito helped itachi only to get sasuke later and then carry him to the evil path

My theory on the Uchiha massacre has been the same since we learned about the "Moon Eye plan". It has been stated before that a Sharingan Genjutsu does not work or can be broken by another with the sharingan. So if you think about it even IF obito and madara successfully pulled of their plan WITHOUT eliminating all the Uchiha it would be comepletely useless. The Uchiha clan would see through the genjutsu and would rebel... So the reason obito helped Itachi is exactly that... Eliminate those who can resist the genjutsu you eliminate any chance of being overthrown.... does that make sense??

yup. obito got a great deal with itachi really- he took out the uchiha clan, the only ones who can control bijuu, remained unknown and in the shadows, and also enlisted itachi to collect bijuu lol. and what he gave in return was a promise which he could afford to keep- the kyuubi has to be sealed the last so he had absolutely no reason to take naruto until then. plus he double-bluffed itachi and hijacked his plans for sasuke for his own ends, and use him as a pawn substitute for nagato instead of reviving madara.
