Looks: Ukitake is a tall man with a somewhat emaciated appearance, caused by an illness which occasionally causes him to cough up blood. Because of his illness, he often spends his time recuperating at, his family's estate. During one of his attacks when he was much younger, his hair turned white over a three-day period. This is why his eyebrows are black, the color his hair used to be.Currently his hair is worn long, almost reaching his waist. He wears it parted on the left side with one long piece that tends to fall over his right eye. He has green eyes and an equal suitable personality.

Personality: Ukitake is well-respected and highly honorable, and always treats those around him with respect, even those who are weaker or not as highly ranked as he is. As a result, he can be easily approached by other members of the village who seek favors or advice from the captain. Due to his high moral code, Ukitake will never let any harm come to either his underlings or those who attempt to protect them. He refuses to give up when he believes something is wrong and will break a rule to do what is right. He is also quite perceptive, as seen when he analyzes the various disturbances caused in between the Village Kages, and has the ability to correctly judge people's character, as noted by The Samurai warlord, and knows when they are lonely .Ukitake is one of the most proficient combatants and always maintains a level of honor and integrity when engaging in battle, much like his best friend. He refuses to fight with a child or even in the presence of a child, even if that child is an "gaijin". He always maintains a semblance of respect for his opponent and is polite in combat situations. He also has a high measure of mercy, never taking the chance to kill , but rather actually try to teach others how to be a better fighter, even though they were the enemy.

Background Info.
History:
Life was hard enough living a farmer's life. The village was a mere battle ground for the nations that were driven for power and expansion. The frequent family crashes and riots didn't help much either. I was a small boy back then though, about 7 when I first saw death in front of me. The flash, the stroke of lightning and the scream of the man were as vivid as ever. The first murder I ever had to witness in the years to come. The war infact brought something more. Something that everyone in the family dreaded. The fact that they had to be separated killed or forced to live apart. My parents meant the world to me and I knew the same was there for me. We were quite inseparable, as a family. The eternal bond seemed strong, the others often said. Life was hard, yet easy back then.
Fate is a strong expression. And a strong factor. While my life seemed to progress in a fairly uphill manner, “Fate” decided to pull some strings.
It was a rainy day, for I remember quite well. I was returning from a well practiced hunting trip when the rumors of the Iwagakure-Konohagakure battle reached my ears. I ran, which I was quite good at from a young age, at the top velocity towards home. Variegated thoughts crossed my mind as I prepared myself for the scene I had to witness. Reaching home, I saw something much more devastating than I had ever prepared for. My father, my protector, had a sword in a hand and a woman on the other. A dead woman. No, this can’t be. It was barely reality to me as I gazed upon the blood of my mother. Son, this isn’t wh-.. “Screech” It was the only sound that it made to turn the sword around my father’s heart and drive it in. The bodies collapsed on the ground almost dramatically as my dead father’s body poof’d into someone else’s. What the ****? My thought was spoken out loud. Who was this? Wha-.. My questions were answered pretty quickly. My real father, or so it seemed ran towards me with eyes full of tears and blood. I knew, in that moment, it was my father. I rushed into him as I tried to squeak out words in vain. No, son, It’s okay. It will be fine.. The uncertainty and pain in my father’s voice was ever comforting.

It was it. The day that made me who I am, what I am. I still despise them. The villages, the savage power hunters who wouldn’t care for the lives they’ve destroyed. And I , Jushiro Utikate, a.k.a Kaos have sworn for my dead mother, I will hunt for vengeance.
