Why do you keep coming up with a poor and lame excuse that's not even true about Itachi saying that he's weaker than Obito. Itachi never said that he needs EMS to become stronger he only said GREATER power, Itachi surpassed Obito at the age of 8 when he mastered the Sharingan lol. Shush please. Naruto has lost in all of their encounters, you didn't even read what i said.

Itachi is the right character against characters who's raw strength are over the top because Itachi's intelligence and his attitude in both battle situation as in normal situations make him suitable for the job to stomp the arrogance out of them.

I love Itachi, he is easily one of my favorite characters. I immediately understood that he wasn't a bad guy though, something was too fishy about it. If he wouldn't have died, he would've played a huge part in the war. But even in his death, he still played a huge part

Look, Itachi just doesn't have what it takes. Obito and Madara have the Rinnegan which is miles away from any form of Sharigan in terms of Strength. Obito has the greatest Sharingan tech ever and puts all of Itachi's techs to shame. Yes, Itachi is intelligent but so is Shikaku and Shikamaru and they suck ass. Lets not forget Itachi has TERRIBLE stamina. Obito and Madara have ****loads. Why? Dat Senju DNA. Something Itachi lacks.

Imo itachi was portrayed as a god like figure throughout the series, i don't blame kishi for givng him that mystery fatal illness to downgrade his capabilities.
Fact is very few ninja can beat him in a fight, notice itachi hardly ever tried his hardest in a fight because he doesn't need to.

And to all the Itachi haters, bare in mind that most of the others that he can solo, are naturally strong(born with strenght)

Imagine if Itachi had naruto's chakra reserve and stamina, and Kurama sealed inside him..
or if he took Sasuke's eyes and obtained the EMS and after that the Rinnegan


And have a little respect for him, for doing what he did to the Uchiha in the name of the village

Most people in his place would have never had the strength to endure like he did.
+ he's the most selfless character in the Narutoverse even more so than Naruto himself.

If you read a bit of Japanese culture you will find out that more or less all the names of the Uchiha clan jutsu like Amaterasu, Susanoo, Tsukuyomi, Izanagi, are the names of the most important gods in the Japanese Shinto religion. Therefore, I must agree that as a clan, and Itachi among the strongest in the clan are the strongest characters in the manga.

Knowledge is key in defeating an enemy. Nagato knew most of Jiraiyas tech but Jiraiya had no info of his. Theoretically he took advantage because he was afraid to fight Jiraiya once he knew his secret. As for Obito he had to lay low... like really low to stay out of Itachis radar because unlike Jiraiya, Itachi is faster at deducing techniques and finding a weakness in his opponents as proven by his fights.

Itachi's weakness is inability to make good decisions when listening to his little brother. Yes he tried to protect him in his own way, but it was with abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Even as an edo he tried to ditch desperate Sasuke. I just can't forgive him for that.
