Some advice to those with too much time on their hands
Don't spend the entire day doing non-beneficial things or just purely entertaining yourself. People are getting dumber and dumber nowadays. The world needs intelligent people, so I feel obligated to help out somehow. Plus, wouldn't it be cool to develop expertise in an area? Who wants to be completely useless? Oh yeah, of course you gotta use reliable, legit sources though. Wikipedia isn't always accurate.
Try to spend at least an hour studying one or more of these things:
-Electricity
-Fire
-Astronomy
-Music
-Automobiles
-Animals
-Business
-Flirting (Heck, even this will help you out in significant occasions.)
-Fitness
-Nutrition
-Law
-Etc
Or at least watch educating TV shows as:
-Jeopardy
-Shark Tank
-Pawn Stars
-Anything on the History channel or National Geographic channel basically

Re: Some advice to those with too much time on their hands
That's what I keep telling myself to do. I used to play the piano, draw, kickbox competitions, run, and other stuff, but yeah.. I can't get myself to give something my all for a long period of time.
The only commendable thing about me is I spent a few hours daily for over 4 years researching politics, astrotheology, psychology, all religions, spirituality, science, quantum physics, etc instead of doing homework. School never interested me, school teaches us only that we need our established society as it is today.

I read and all I ended up seeing was;
-get off internet.
-stop playing your damn videa games.
-study
-study
-stupid little jerk, study.
OT: Good advice. People really should apply themselves more nowadays.

It appears to me that you don't need my advice. You seem to have a goodnhead on your shoulders. At least you've tried those things.

And here I am

But yea I agree, I don't get that much free time though. Work, Tech and all the work for tech I have at home. I also go to the gym and help out around the house.

Re: Some advice to those with too much time on their hands
I'm not really one these people, I go out as much as I can because I just get bored >_> But if I do end up staying at home with a night in, I normally do work or watch Anime, but I always end up reading an article on Wikipedia and then I start to research it even more, it just happens

Re: Some advice to those with too much time on their hands
I just happen to be a person who's always greedy for information. The only few times I do watch TV I only watch channels like History, Discovery channel, Travel Channel and National Geographic. But I agree that in some cases I do spend a lot of time on internet fora, like for example now. I guess I won't be having too much free time when University finally starts again.

I don't really get how this has anything to do with general discussion, apart from the fact that people tend to procrastinate too much nowadays?
