facebook: 2008-?

myspace lasted 5 yrs and facebook is now on it's fifth yr. so is it time to say goodbye to FB?

i'd say yes as fb is boring now, seems like it's repetitive and not as fun as it once was, the continuous friend request from strangers is a bit weird i might add

I left Facebook about two years ago. It was a waste of time and it's basically an online high school. People are just trying to one up each other by posting statuses about how great their life is. The thing that sealed the deal for my exit of Facebook was all of the pseudo Christians. A lot of the kids I went to high school with would quote the Bible on Facebook but they were drinking, f____ing, smoking, and such during the weekend. I don't have anything against a partying lifestyle but when someone is such a hypocrite it annoys me immensely.

Its still gonna be the main social media site for a few years i believe, what you just pointed is nothing but tweaks that can be improved later on. I've never been had a myspace aco**** but from what i've heard, the user interface wasn't as friendly as facebook is.

P.S. Corporations are also a big part of why facebook will still be widely used. Not until facebook have other bigbrand companies used social media sites to promote themselves. They've given buttloads of cash to others so they can get publicized i don't see why they probably won't do the same with people in charge with facebook.

I think Facebook will last a few more years. I know someone just created the NEW MySpace, and I have been on there, and it still sucks. lol Until another popular (and by popular I mean a place to play addicting games) comes around, Facebook will refuse to die. Almost everyone has a Facebook.

I do not really care about the lifespan of Facebook though. I just abandoned mine a few weeks ago. I just got tired of looking at all my 'friends' b!tch!ing about something. lol
