I predict that Obito will turn good and turn on Madara, and Kakashi and Obito would unite their sharingans to cast a full powered Kamui enough to trap the Juubi in the Kamui dimension, but after some time it will be able to break free, probably by destroying the entire pocket dimension itself enough to rift a whole in the fabric of space and return to the world, but during the Juubi's captivity, the plot focuses once again on Naruto and Sasuke. Only after that is concluded will the Juubi rise again and threaten the world.

You know Kishi, he gives eleborate tragic backstories to enemies like Gaara who was merely a victim of circumstances, and gets tnj from Naruto and turns good. Based on Obito's reactions and Naruto's speech, I wouldn't doubt the high probability of Obito turning good.

Well... Darth Vader was evil for more two than decades, and only turned good at the very end. I'm sure you can see the similarities between Vader and Obito, Madara and the Emperor.

I think Naruto's speech at the end of 617 is a dead giveaway: "unlike you, I... Don't want to cut off the bonds I made! and I don't want others to cut their bonds with me" and since Obito said Naruto reminds him so much of his younger self, and this reminder is pointing out the difference between them, then it's definitely an appeal to conscience.

I have never been disappointed with this manga but Obito becoming good is just no it would piss me off lol, if he is going to betray Madara fine but becoming "good" nah, love your idea about the Juubi being trapped and then breaking free later though its the only theory that isn't retarded and it gives time for Naruto vs Sasuke. :D
