"The Darkest Hour" in anime/manga moments. Name some.
And if you don't know.
The Darkest Hour can be defined as when the villains of the story "win." Moreover, the reason as to why "win" is in parenthesis is because they don't win the whole story, but it's a very major victory.
Some examples are they manage to kill a major partner of the main hero's allies, there parents, or even turn everyday citizens against them.
So, can you name some. Oh and be sure to put down your spoiler tags for people who still haven't read that particular manga/anime.
I shall go first.
Yu Yu Hakusho
Black Cat
Dragonball Z
Inuyasha

If it wasn't for the Dragonballs wishing everyone back to life then DBZ would be a really dark series. I'd probably rage quit it.
Well wasn't brought back to life which is why it really counts as a dark hour.
And where the fudge is everyone's spoilers at m?

Re: "The Darkest Hour" in anime/manga moments. Name some.
Why has nobody said DBZ: History of Trunks. All the z-fighters are dead except trunks, and cannot be wished back. More than half of the world's population has been annihilated. And the survivors are terrorized by either the androids, or cell.
Chrono Trigger, year 1999 I think, Lavos erupts from the earth and fires down a barrage of explosive energy, destroying almost all life on earth, and leaving the planet in a post-apocolyptic eternal winter, which by the way, has been completely taken over by robots. Like in Terminator.

Death note was sooo surprisingly! I never would've imagined L would be indeed killed!
Btw, for whoever remembers Sailor Moon, I think that the overall one was when Sailor Galaxia kills every senshi and leaves Sailor Moon alone after finding out that Tuxedo Mask was actually dead and she was the one who killed him. O.o
Aaah, childhood memories!

FMA (non-canon) series'ending was pretty tragic.
But DBZ is the most tragic if you exclude DB usages.
