Who knows but someone had to have takin care of him obviously or he would have died. I always kinda thought that maybe the 3rd took care of him till he was old enough to like feed himself cause if someone did take care of him then why would they just abandone him while he was still totally young. I just thought that cause it showed the 3rd and kakashi in narutos place checking out his fridge, old milk and stuff

I agree. And why the fukk would Hiruzen put the Kyuubi jinchuriki with the clan that was famous for controlling the Kyuubi with the Sharingan? Nah, Hiruzen took care of him, hell maybe even his wife did until she passed. It would make sense IMO.
