Minato's chakra nature

Another mystery is Minato's chakra nature, he is known for his speed, intelligence, and the rasengan. But, we don't have any information on his chakra nature.

When he made the rasengan, the goal was to apply his chakra nature to the mix, only he either

A) didn't have time to apply this before his death
or
B) failed to add his chakra nature to the mix

^^(you can answer this question too if you want because i dont know what happened lol)

Do you think Minato had a wind chakra nature ? or, because of his speed he could have a raiton based chakra.

I'm doubting he even had one period. Every appearance we see him in he is never seen using a chakra nature type technique. Only FTG, rasengans, and other seals.

Although Kakashi has stated before that skilled Jonin have figured out what their second chakra nature is. There are still shinobi like Gai that doesn't have any.

Actually, kakashi stated that minato tried to apply "HIS" chakra nature to the rasengan when Naruto did the training.

Haha I fail. I honestly don't remember it's been so long since I've read that far back... Well in that case he didn't have enough time. It took him 3 years to master Rasengan.

Naruto sped up his learning process using clones to master the Rasenshuriken so I'm assuming it would have taken Minato forever to apply nature to Rasengan.

It's okay man, we all make mistakes in this manga, thats why it's so cool to read since its really diverse.

I was hoping he failed because that would narrow down my search in his chakra nature. Wind seems to be a perfect element for rasengan since its about chakra rotation, it would fit nicely (maybe water as well).

I thought he would be a raiton user, like kakashi, he wouldv failed because raiton users have wild chakra that vibrate at an extrememly high frequency, and the rasengan is the most stable technique in terms of shape manipulation.

It's pretty much implied that if Minato was still alive than he would've been able to add his own chakra to the rasengan. He just couldn't do it before his death. Also he most likely had wind and water affinities. His last name Namikaze is said to mean wind and waves, so that could be a hint at his chakra natures.

Gai has a chakra nature, we just don't know it.People see to assume that Gai is like Rock Lee and can only use taijutsu, but that's is not the case.Gai simple only uses taijutsu because he a taijutsu specialist.Proof of his ability to use other jutsus is when he dispel the genjutsu at the staduim during the chunin exam, or the fact that he has a summoning and can do transformation technique (ninjutsu).

The name has nothing to do with the chakra nature, so i might be wrong about kushina having a wind affinity as well.

Your absolutely right, the 3rd hokage had earth and fire chakra natures and his son Asuma had a wind affinity, so that makes perfect sense
