I don't know if thats necessarily true. Hidan beat the 2-tails host. Not the actual beast themselves. However, it is said that SOME tailed beasts are little more than wild animals. But we don't know if this is always true. I mean Shukaku is a tailed beast that actually had a name. Maybe it was given that name by a shinobi, but I'd assume it calls itself that. Not only that but when Gaara allowed Shukaku out it was able to talk (albiet drunkely). Also, the Nine-Tails not only appears intelligent, but it also has a wise demeanor that I am sure was there before it was sealed into Naruto. Only thing is when Naruto is in his tailed forms he only grrrs, but what if the 9-tails hadn't developed the ability to speak until the 9th tail?

Ok, back on the topic... I'd say if Akatsuki was able to control the beasts, they'd have a ton of power.

not true what you're saying. You you made hidan or deidara against 8 or 9 tails, they would lose. They are stronger than some of them, but all of them together can make the akatsuki or whoever wants them, much stronger

its true they may just want to increase there power but now its pointless because they gave up aa lot of akatsuki members to do it
