Okay. First of all, I am a girl, 25 years of age.
I'm watching Anime for more than half of my life now.

The deal is, almost 85 percent of my Female Highschool classmates were married and had children already.
Me, Here still Thinking, How Naruto will end. Is Sasuke going to die? Bleach is Awesome. so on and so forth.


Most girls of my Age,at least those i knew, Fantasized Celebrity for a Boyfriend.
Me, All bishounens. ( manga and Anime.)
First Boyfriend : Heero Yuy. LOL::D


When someone saw me watching Anime the first thing they will tell me..( Ur still watching this ? )
And that would make me feel like I'm different.


I want to hear from you guys, especially for those NB members aged 23 + and up.

It really kind of depends upon what groups you affiliate with. A lot of people in my age group in this area have found plenty of enjoyment out of various anime. People you wouldn't first expect - jocks, nerds, preps, - I got pretty tight with a group of Marines because we all enjoyed anime (it was less exceptional that I enjoyed it, being a Navy guy).

Well, 'our' age group tends to be among the first generations of Americans who really started to embrace anime. There were a few who were into it back in the early 90s - but it was not nearly as wide-spread until cartoon network brought Toonami with Tenchi, Sailor Moon, and Dragon Ball Z.

you're weard not because of watching anime but for asking that question. I know few ''pretty hot'' girls in real life ''age 27/26/24 who watch anime and the only difference would be that they don't spend time on forums. Also it depends on what kind of animes you mean, if I had to call one anime what they liked the most .... elfen lied?

Actually I don't know any girl in real life who would use forum :shrug: Mina, Sara don't count cause I haven't met them in rl.

Well I'm a guy who just turned 25 and still love anime. Most of my friends do as well. It isn't weird that you like anime either. My ex, who was around the same age as me loved anime even more then I did. I even have convinced a friend of mine (who is a girl and 30) who didn't care about anime, and now shes loves it. It is never too late to get into anime, nor are you too old to stop liking it.

If your friends think you are weird for liking something they don't maybe they aren't your friends. Maybe suggest it to them to watch. I would recommend Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood to them. It has everything you want in a good story. If they don't want to watch it, it just shows they are close minded.

Your friends or whoever shouldn't make you feel guilty about liking something. They should want to get to know what you are doing. If one of your friends said....idk......Glee is an amazing show and you should watch it, you would right? If you tell them to watch X anime, they should want to as well.

Just keep doing what you are doing and eventually you will find people that support you. I'm sure there are a lot here.

not really. It has a plot so it is no different from any other story....it is simply told in a different fashion that American culture finds childish. But it really isn't.

Ah the vicious circle that has entrapped us all. See this is the reason why ive chosen to stick with only naruto and bleach manga. At least I know these are ready to end already. You gotta limit yourselve by now. Just pick the mangas you truly love and cut the rest. Im sorry but i dont have time in my lige for fairy tail or one piece or the new fullmetal alchemist anime. Inuyasha is done so im happy there. Im quite content with the original fullmetal alchemist. Flcl is done happy as hell. Once naruto is done then im officialy done with manga. Likewise with bleach.

As long as your happy it doesn't matter! I am a 24 year old male and I still watch anime, I have a job and a life just like any other guy my age. Hell I work in a auto parts store I also Rock climb.

What Im trying to say here is that just because you watch anime doesn't make you any less of a person. Anime and all animation is an art form.

When you work with a medium that you can create anything you can imagine, you can illustrate it seamlessly unlike video where you are bound by the laws of nature.

All and all its just the best way to tell a story in my opinion .... I think you are a normal person, you shouldn't think that watching anime makes you any less of a person or that it makes you weird in anyway!! =]
