Interesting idea, and doesn't it say somewhere in the manga that edo tensei is a type of summoning? minato broke obito's summoning contract with the kyubi so it stands to reason that the technique could also break edo tensei, which is a type of summoning. on that note, the 1st hokage did the same thing to madara. so would it make sense then that madara would know the technique and used it on himself to break the contract or somehow reverse engineered it?

but..the edo kages(who fought gaara..and onoki) were able to talk but they still couldnt control their actions..

All of teh edos so far had if not during control by kabuto ( some had slight control they just had to fight this being number one minato just needs to pull a fake out heck for all we know he just needs to touch himself to free himself instead of the caster for that we just need sauske to pull a naruto you know what he did to teh third raikage) They ahd it after control as they got released minato in his brief control can break the contract probably stopping the release as its no longer orochimarus similar to how madara broke free
