Okay, my name is Ahmed, and my students tend to refer to me as the sandpie. I don't mind either.
I'll be teaching you three Raiton under one condition; You must learn. (duh)

First of all, to understand Raiton, we need to go through a basic physical phenomenon which I'm assuming you all know very well.
Electricity is the flow of electrical charge. Electrical charge exists in everything around us, to be precise, it's what keeps matter bound together. It's what keeps electrons spinning around an atom.
Electrical current is a flow of electrical charge, from one point to another. To move electrical charge in real life, we need voltage.

If we were to modify these fundamentals to fit the Narutoverse, I'd say Chakra(spiritual energy) is used to push electrical charge in Raiton/Lightning Release to create a flow(Electricity). We can either say that Chakra works as voltage or generates voltage, either would be correct imho.

*Hands each one of you a balloon*
I want you guys to channel your chakra into these balloons, but try release it in a vibrating manner, in small segments making up a frequency. Try not to control the flow of chakra. Visualize the sensation of running down a hill, unable to stop, feel the chills go down your spine. Once you feel your arm-hair stand up, you'll have succeeded at creating a flow of raiton.

I knew you were about doing something with a balloon! Let's start!

*grabs a balloon, concentrate on my own chakra and the electrons of the balloon, trying to visualize the sensation of running down a hill* I'm putting a small amount of chakra in small segments... *don't control the flow of chakra...* by every segment of chakra I channel into the balloon, the balloon vibrates a little bit.. I should channel a little more chakra into the balloon and control a better tact... now the balloon vibrates more and stronger by every segment of chakra I let flow through the balloon... after a while I realize that I don't even have to grab the balloon... it sticks to my hand because of the static electricity... I also noticed that my arm-hairs are standed up... :D


*secretely I rubbed the balloon against my sweater*

I start to concentrate my chakra on the balloon, while also thinking in something that give me chills everytime (Naruto vs Pain ). I let my chakra go into the balloon slowly, without controlling it. I put a little more effort, adding a stronger chakra, making the balloon vibrate slightly. Then I feel a little weird on the arm I'm holding the balloon, while my arm-hairs start to stand up...

*I grasp the balloon from Sandpie's hands, force my palm into it and start channeling my chakra and letting it free throughout the core of the balloon as I'm doing this I start to become inattentive and instead visualize the sensation of running down a hill, the chill almost paralysing me but I continue to repeat these series of steps in segments nevertheless, this makes the balloon vibrate as I let flow the electrons through the entirety of the balloon's veins, due to the opposite charges, the balloon attracts to me, after completing these sequence of steps, I start to notice my arm hair is ascending, which means I have done what Sandpie asked correctly.

Now I'd like to ask you, what's the difference between Raiton and Doton?
An odd question it may seem, but has more to it than what meets the eye.

I am not quite sure Senpai, but does it have anything to do with piercing, since Lightning chakra allows you to pierce objects and the Earth Spear jutsu relates to it as well since the word "spear" is a weapon which allows you to pierce objects..

-raiton can "flow" -doton not
-raiton is handy for body defense - doton is handy for (wall) defense
-raiton is weak against fuuton -doton is weak against raiton
-raiton is strong against doton -doton is strong against water

Well, I think Earth modifies the surroundings to your advantage in a battle, concentrating your chakra in the place the opponent is in (when offensive) or create walls (when defensive), while Ligthning is an electrical charge, coming from your body or the sky (like Kirin), to hit the opponent.

You're all correct, however, you've all missed the simplest and most basic difference. Earth is an object, it has a mass. Lightning on the other hand is simply energy. From this, we can conclude endless of differences, including the ones you've named.
Some differences that can come in handy when fighting are:
Lightning destroys things more effectively, but fails to create permanent things.
Lightning techniques have a more instantaneous effect. This means, most raiton jutsu disappear once you stop channeling your chakra into them. A lightning stream will be gone if you perform a katon jutsu after, a doton pillar will stay present.
Lightning is faster than all other elements. It travels at the speed of lightning. (lol)
Lightning being a flow of energy, can travel through other objects called conductors (Like water and metals), Katon can also do this but not as efficient and practical, futon can't. Doton and Suiton are obvious noes.



Now to the actual jutsu.
(Raiton no Jutsu) - Lightning Release Technique

Description: The user will manipulate their chakra to create small bolts of lightning to attack their target.

What you'll do is concentrate while channeling your chakra into your hands, redoing what we did before. Once you have a steady flow of raiton chakra, release it into the air in a burst, but maintain the flow as lightning starts to crackle out of your finger tips. ^^

*correction* it does not move as fast as true lightning. Instead, due to the control the user has to exert over it, it moves far slower, which can give opponents time to still react

I'm concentrating on the chakra, trying to channel it into my hands, molding the chakra right there... concentrating very good on it and trying to manipulate the chakre in my hand, controlling the flow..... *zzshrzzggrsh - lighting starts to crackle ot of my finger tips*
, maintaining the flow... release it into the air in a burst *ZZSHRZZGGRSH*, I'm trying to maniplaute the raiton chakra into small bolts of lightning, and I start to aim at the dummy..... while I maintain the raiton chakra, I send/push it at the dummy in the form of a small electric bolt,the first time i missed.. *tries again* Yes, hit it!

I concentrate my chakra in my hands, just like I did with the ball training. Again, I make it turn into a lightning flow. I try to put a bit more of chakra into it, to become more powerful >_O Then I burst it into the air, in the direction of...that tree over there! The small lightning bolts get off my hand and travel through the air, hitting the tree and leaving some cracks in it.

@Khalil: That was a figure of speech, to explain how faster than the others it is. -_-" But either way, you can use raiton chakra to trigger natural lightning which isn't controlled.

Now that we're going through the real training, I want you guys to explain any interesting aspect of the jutsu you learn. I'm not asking you to list Advantages and disadvantages, uses and counters. Just one of them or as many of them as you find mention-worthy.



(Raiton: Raikou Oonami) - Lightning Release: Lightning Surge

Description: The user will concentrate their chakra and slam their hand on the ground to release a surge of lightning across the ground to the opponents feet to shock them.

Channel your raiton chakra into the palms of your hands, kneel down to slam your hands unto the ground and release that gathering up chakra in one surge.
This jutsu is short while demanding that your hands touch the ground. Your opponent can find countless ways to take advantage of that.





(Raiton: Raijingu Sanda) - Lightning Style: Raging Thunder

Gather your raiton chakra in preparation, release it from all around your body as you manipulate it into becoming sharper and more vibrant. Use your chakra to prevent the lightning from spreading out so it starts to thicken withing the area around you. Ultimately, a shield will form which surrounds you.
You can also use this for defensive purposes.

Despite the somewhat vogue description, this is an orb which is attached to your palm. It resembles a rasengan in its appearance thus has some of its short comes, such as the occupation of a palm and its range.
Channel your raiton chakra into the palm of your hand and release it in a steady rotating stream. Contain the lightning within an orb shape with chakra shape manipulation while constantly feeding it with more chakra.

1)A wooden dummy is about 4 meters from me, I am concentrating very good on the Lightning chakra, focussing on it, channeling through my hands, I'm aiming on the dummy, kneeling down and *BAM, slammed my hands on the ground* and released all the lightning chakra, Yeah, hit the dummy :D

-When I read this jutsu, I thought immediately about using water element as a conjunction for this jutsu

2)Concentrating on the Raiton chakra very well, channel it through my whole body, release it and manipulate the raiton chakra structure, so it covers my body..m... What should I hit.. Ooh yeah, the dummy with some cracks.. *runs, jumps and punches the dummy while being covered in the raiton chakra...* Yeah! punched through the dummy, !

-When I read it's for attack, I also were thinking that it's possible to use it as defence, but apparently you already said that.. I am also thinking that it's possible when you release the chakra from your body, you're manipulating the raiton chakra and use it to cover something else, maybe a shield, or sharpen up a sword

3a)... I guess there's no dummy any more where I can practice on... Maybe I can use some rock pillars, to practice on that...

I created 3 pillars, that came out of the ground, they were all about 2 meters tall, and had a cylinder form...

3b)once again I am concentrating very good on my raiton chakra (this is always my standard and most importants step), I am channeling it all through my right hand, molding it right there.. focussing very very good on the Raiton chakra in my hand, trying to mold and manipulate it..I am releasing the chakra, and manipulate the chakra structure into an orb shape, still controlling the chakra, and while manipulating it, i'm letting the chakra rotate inside the orb... Yeah, this is it... I ran towards the pillars I made, aimed at the second one... I hit the central pilar, released all the raiton chakra out of my hand and *BAM* the explosion affected them all really bad, because Raiton is stronger than Doton, the central one even almost vanished :D

-I actually didn't notice an interesting aspect when I was learning this jutsu

Yeah, I know that about Nagato, he is learning raiton with cobalt now

1. First I concentrate my Raiton chakra into my hands. I then see a weird-looking boy close to me. *I'll aim at him* I slam my hands onto the ground, releasing all the Raiton chakra in my hands into a surge of electricity. This electricity passes by the ground and then hit the weird-looking boy. Then I see that the weird-looking boy is Khalil :ghehe:

- The same thing Khallil said, Water Release has great conductive abilities, and this jutsu + Suiton would be a great and 'shocking' combo.

2. I gather my Raiton chakra and release it in all my body. I concentrate a bit more in it, making it become as vibrant as possible. The lightning is almost spreading out (O_<!). I use my chakra to contain the lightning chakra as closer as possible to my body. This makes a shield around me.

- Well, the user can manipulate this Raiton chakra into weapons, making it possibly stronger.

3. I start focusing my Raiton chakra in my hand. I release the chakra, but contain it with chakra into my palm. I start making a small orb with the lightning chakra. I increase its size a bit, adding more chakra. *well, I think that's enough...a target...that tree over there* I go running at the tree's direction, and when I'm very close to it, I hit the tree! It explodes in a lot of wood pieces, but overall, the poor tree vanished

Nothing to talk about this jutsu, continue the training

(Ration: Ikazuchi Kashou) - Lightning Release: Thunder Burn

Description: The user fires a wave of lightning bolts at the opponent.

Concentrate on generating raiton chakra. Once you have a decent enough amount of it, fire it out at once in a wave of bolts at your opponent.
The fact that it mentions bolts in plural allows you to use it for hitting multiple targets. Sending out a lightning clone to use this would be best as it's a short range technique.





(Raiton: Jibashi) - Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder

Damage Points: 30 (+5 if used in conjunction with a water jutsu)
Description: This jutsu allows the user to create a wave of electricity from the user's hands. This jutsu can vary in power from a small surge to shock an opponent to a powerful stream of lightning capable of ripping through solid rock. It is ideal to use in conjunction with a water jutsu.

Constantly channel your raiton chakra into your hand, release it out of your hand in a surge as it takes shape and becomes apparent. Condense it and further strengthen it by increasing the flow of chakra within the same size of technique. Once its strength becomes so great that it can rip through the ground, you can either directly hit your opponent or use it in conjunction with suiton.
This jutsu's range makes it so it's most useful when used along with suiton, as a stream of water can lengthen its range drastically.

Description: By gathering chakra in their hands, the user can create a ball of electrical energy and launch it at the enemy.

Channel your raiton chakra towards your hand and and release it into an orb shaped area. Compress it and further condense it, not letting it spread out. The end result will be a ball of lightning which your can throw at your enemy.
As all ball/bullet form jutsu, the best aspect is that you can use other chakra types during the time between their forming and them reaching your opponent.

1)I am concentrating on the raiton chakra, focussing on it manipulating it and generating it, I've got a decent amount of the raiton chakra, manipulated and released all of it at once in a wave of multiple bolts, they all went into different directions, but still a little bit close together, one bolt hit merita's head.... PAYBACK !!


2) I want something to practice on... I know something...(Doton: Doroku Gaeshi) - Earth Release: Earth Shore Return, An earth wall arose just like a trapdoor, let's try a conjunction for the raiton jutsu that i'm going to try in a bit... (Suiton No Jutsu) - Water technique, some small created awater flows went into the earth's wall direction... now the lightning jutsu! I am concentrating on the raiton chakra, focussing on it and channeling it into my hand, I am manipulating the raiton chakra and releasing it all into a surge, adding chakra to it to strengthen the raiton chakra flow, the raiton surge travels through the water that is used as a conjunction and it hits the earth wall! R.I.P. earth wall ....

3)I am concentrating on the raiton chakra, channeling it through my hands, focussing very good on it, the raiton chakra becomes manipulated between the hands, and is being condensed very good, all the raiton chakra are taking the shape of an orb.... I threw the ball of electrical energy on the earth chunks on the ground of my previous earth wall, the electrical charges released, and a small explosion was created, the chunks of earth become
