Can any character in the series host a Bijuu ?
It was stated in the manga that not everyone can host a Bijuu. I can't remember the exact chapter though.

Well everyone can until the time comes where they need to tame that beast, and 95% fail I'm assuming, since the 4th Raikage's brother died trying to tame it. So yeah it's not about the ability to host one, but the ability to tame it.

It was stated in the manga, if my memory serves me right, that several got their bodies destroyed after becoming a host, thus dying.

They need a large amount of chakra to sustain the bijuu, if they had low amounts of chakra they would easily lose control of it. Which is why Gaara went on so many rampages. It's also why the Uzumaki were regularly picked as hosts, for their massive pools of chakra.

I think anyone with a large amount of chakra and a somewhat compatible body can host a tailed beast. Particularly people with determination and will, pure people too.

Yes any random person cant hold a biju because the chosen jinjurikis have special chakra which is usually higher than normal ones because it is used to suppress bijjus chakra. Remember the case of gara he didn't had large chakra reserves and hense shakaku was able to take control on gara occasionally .

you need enough chakra, body to become a jinchuriki but if you have too much hate in you u will be consumed. Oh yeah
