[Question] Is the anime any good

So I am thinking about watching One Piece and since I dont enjoy reading the manga ingeneral what is the anime like and is the dub any good?

Also is there much diffrence between the Manga and the Anime or by just watching the anime will I know evreything I need to know?

The anime is great...It's based on the manga mostly and doesn't have many fillers.
I 've never seen any dub versions of any anime and I believe that it's better to watch with subs.
As an anime it's great and very interesting,you might find it a little boring at the begining but afterwards it becomes epic!

they are both great. Anime takes longer though so i suggest reading manga up to you get in to it then watch anime. I am an anime person also so if u have time watch it in anime.BTW the anime was made in like 1999 so it wont be great quality

Yes. I caught up by watching the anime and I don't regret it. The first episodes don't have very good quality though(they were made long ago).

Watch the dub anime as far as it takes you then keep watching untill you reach the latest episode before switching over to the manga and please suck it up the first 20 episode as it usually challenge the patience of new watchers.

The manga is better at parts then the anime, but the opposite can be said as well. The anime tends to leave a couple of things out because they aren't 13+ friendly.
Examples:

How Luffy got his scar on his face, was in the first chapter of the manga but let it out in the anime.
Also, how one person got half his face blown off and was still fighting like that.(Being very general cause I think you will still click the spoiler and don't want to ruin who did this.)

The examples don't take away from the plot, just some of the bad ass moments that could of become more bad ass if animated.

About the dub. I would really recommend you to watch the sub version. The voice actors are so amazing. I can understand if you are little and its hard to read subtitles. If you really can't do the sub version, find the Funimation dub. DO NOT watch 4kids dubbed version. The Funimation dub is up to the water 7 arc atm. This and the next arc are 2 of my favorite arcs. The story takes a dramatic twist and things become so amazing. Something also notable about the voice actors of the funimation dub. Most of the DBZ cast does their voices. I'll name a few. Vegeta's voice actor does Zoro, Krillin's voice actor does Usopp, and Trunk's voice actor does Sanji. This would probably be the best reason to watch it dubbed. Otherwise a lot is lost in translation. Personally, I feel the sub is still better. If you want to know what has happened fully, you will have to watch the sub eventually. Why not watch it from the beginning.

The dub is really good, funimation has done a great job with it. I recommend you watch the funimation dub you won't regret it :y

Yes I do, I see nothing wrong with the funi dub, well done in translations, some of the jokes are better, and a lot effort has been put into it. If you think the dubs are horrible that's you, for me I can careless about that not all dubs are terrible to me.

The anime is on a completely different level in my opinion, I never really read the Manga only some from time to time and I dislike it.

But the anime is a load of fun, there are a few ****ty moment's that kind of piss you off, but i mean there's 582 episode's so.. It took me hell of a long time to get where I am now, ep 533.

There are cool, epic, ****ty, and sad moment's. The type of anime that can change your life for sure.

It's not that bad or i don't think it's bad at all, i actually get nostalgic by seeing it but new watchers want to get mindblown at the start so some of the things might not be interesting if it's your first time. Oda is an author that likes to take his time delivering but when he does you can't get enough of it so as you watch things suddently start to get better and better in ways you don't expect and that's not all, the comedy is gold in this series, it's unlike other types of comedy in anime, your stomach will hurt sometimes.:D

the anime is very good, and it gets better and better. I prefer the manga because I like the way Oda draws, but the music in Anime gets me everytime.

I can tell you I've seen all anime episodes, and read all manga chapters. that's how good One Piece is.

The 2nd time you see Sanji with the cigarette in his mouth, you can see smoke. The 4kids doesn't. Not to mention that music they played....:whoa: _O- Also, grabbed this from a filler episode not to spoil anything for others starting.
