It depends on what you mean by "best". They all had different strong suits.

This.
You can't really expect us to write a fully detailed paragraph when you barely put any effort writing the OP. :/

Re: Ancient Civilizations
Definitely not the Mayans. They can't even predict the end of the world. What losers.

Re: Ancient Civilizations
Mesopotamia is a geographic region that had numerous different civilizations, so it doesn't really fit on that list.
Out of the three you have there, I'll take the Mayans.

Re: Ancient Civilizations
These are all bad civilizations though. O_o Pagan, sun-worshipping, murderous heathens. Most didn't even contribute anything really, except maybe Sumer, and Babylon did do a lot of study on the night sky (but that was mostly for their pagan practices which are still being done today, Zodiac stuff, not something I'd consider a contribution). I guess they all had a hand in architecture and similar things, but I don't think the world has actually benefited from their existence much, they put more effort into fornicating and killing.

Re: Ancient Civilizations
Gonna have to go with the Phoenicians (language), ancient hebrew/ israelites+ ancient persians Zoroastrianism (monotheism). Celts, Mayans, and King Mansa Musa of Ghana, Africa, the man who was worth excess of 400 billion dollars in ancient times, in ghana africa during the time of the dark ages in europe.

Re: Ancient Civilizations
Sumer and Babylonia are in the same bloody region .-. Just different periods. I'd label it as Mesopotamian civilization
Let;s see, contribution to the world :
Well, they divided the time into the modern day timing of 60 seconds = minute and 60 minutes = hour
They invented beer
They invented the wheel, which revolutionized the transport system as much inventing the sail did.
They also invented writing . . .
And have contributed to medicine; I remember reading once about finding a skull with certain holes that indicates a successful brain surgery, because the bones showed marks of healing.
_ _ _ _ _
All the previous information can be looked up easily from the internet
+ A few civilizations missing, Egyptian ? (Far) Eastern ones ?

True, Babylonia began the Empire that Sumer started.
They were the same people.
Think of it this way. London was once a tiny little Roman village in England....that one day grew into the British Empire.

Re: Ancient Civilizations
the mayans never predicted the world would end...... their calender just finished ..... IMO incas and aztecs are just a branch of the MAYA , actually MAYANS have been around since(supposedly to them)(highly plausible) Atlantis. so they are the first civilization i guess. Sumer is the best tough just cause of their tech (clay batteries and such) keep in mind tough MAYANS knew more than we now now about astrology/astronomy , they knew all the astronomical cycles (orbits of all the planets) and other solar systems in the galaxy. mpphh I wonder how?

Re: Ancient Civilizations
The choices are dull, majority of the listed civilizations were wiped out by Spanish Conquerors. I would like to add the Egyptians. Grandest of all ancient civilizations, built the Pyramids that withstood the test of time. Not to mention, they were fresh from stone age when they build the pyramids.

do you honestly think they built the pyramids? Egyptology still says that they built it by carrying these stones which would be impossible also the pyramids are perfectly aligned with orion's belt. so that means that not only did they have the tech to place these stones they also had a really vast and great information on astronomy. IMO no they did not built it if anything it was there before them. also if you look at the pyramids they are made of limestone which is actually more a a eggshell color ....the pyramids were actually able to be seen from space due to the luminosity from the sun onto the limestone.
if you look at all the pyramids on this globe you can connect each one with a line and see a pattern , an actual geometric shape, whoever built the pyramids around the world built it in the same time frame.
