How is Itachi going to win? Preta can absorb Susano'o and Amaterasu, which are already extremely costly to Itachi's stamina.

Genjutsu won't work since the others will just wake the genjutsu'd target.

The paths of pain will win by attrition. Itachi can't fight 5 people at the same time.

If he genjutsus one, the others will knock on his head and the genjutsu goes poof. Even -IF- he would manage to kill one, the Naraka path would simply raise him back.

His Susano'o and Amaterasu get absorbed by Preta. His only remaining choice is taijutsu. While Itachi is certainly good in taijutsu, he can't fight 5 people.

He also has Animal Path's summons to run from.

Itachi could take out Human, Naraka and Preta through simple Shuriken, and Amaterasu the Animal and Asura. Without Deva, the paths don't really stand a chance against someone of Itachi's caliber, especially not when he's healthy

Amaterasu won't have any effect on Preta, but it can be used to take out the others. And why would Shuriken not be effective ?

when Itachi hit edo Nagato, he could'nt absorb it but he could do Shinra Tensei , but Deva Path is not there,

Who said he couldn't? He just used Shinra Tensei. It has a 5 second cooldown, after all.

Itachi can't kill Preta first because he has no intel on them. If anything, he would go for Naraka since Preta is the vanguard of the group and it's obvious that he is the one supposed to tank.

He hasn't shown Human Path abilities. By that logic Minato can enter Bijuu Mode since he has half the Kyubi sealed inside him and Nagato can use Perfect Susano'o since Rinnegan gives access to all jutsus.

Itachi obviously wins, Deva was the only reason Pain could beat Itachi.

Remember Animal Path can summon whichever Path if said Path gets in a nasty situation, Naraka can resurrect anyone and Preta can absorb all of Itachi's ninjutsu, including Susanoo.

The Preta Path (餓鬼道, Gakidō) grants the user the ability to absorb an infinite amount of chakra in any form using the Blocking Technique Absorption Seal.

It can absorb Amaterasu, Susanoo and all of Juubi's chakra based on what narutopedia says.

Deva Path really isn't what makes Pain strong. Each has its own role.

Itachi only needs taijutsu to beat Preta Path ,then he burn him with Amaterasu that Preta can't absorb , then spam Amaterasu on the 4 others then win( first on Nakara Path, cause he will know that it can do revival because Itachi is smart)

Itachi isn't going to stand there and let Preta eat up his Susanoo, if he gets close Susanoo smashes him with its fist.

Human Path-Its only ability relies on him being able to grab Itachi, something he can't do when Susanoo is active.

Animal Path summons are taken out just how Itachi took out the Hydra, he can either cut them to pieces with Totsuka or seal them with Totsuka.

Amaterasu will incinerate Asura Path and any other path besides Preta as it burns faster when the user focuses his eyesight on the target. (Amaterasu burned Danzo up completely, then he re-spawned via Izanagi.

Once he figures out that Preta can absorb Ninjutsu he can use Exploding Bunshins to disable him.
