OT: What if he were gay? There is no mention of children, nor a wife. Then again he could've been a simple bachelor who never got the chance to have a wife seeing as how he died pretty young. I doubt this bit of info even has relevance to the plot but if Izuna were his lover that would be hilarious, LOL!
BTW Tsunade and Dan weren't married, they were an item though, but she's a bachelorette now. I think Kishi is just showing how being a powerful shinobi can be a lonely existence unless you luck up and find someone powerful in their own right who can be by your side such as the case with Minato and Kushina or Hashirama and Mito.

Well, actually that could be introduced later in the story, there could probably be the question of, "Why did Tobirama create Edo Tensei", and it probably, no actually OBVIOUSLY, has something to do with someone very dear to him dying, but he wants to see that someone again, and so, Edo Tensei. That's just what I think.
