Now, tell me why you choose lightning as your first element to learn?

I want to learn lightning as I believe it to be one of if not the most destructive element,I want to have the power to wield lightning and destroy my oponnents in a "shocking" way

As you said lightning is one of the 5 basic elements,it is strong against earth as it easily rips through it with high speed and it is weak against wind as it isolates the electricity.
A quite handy use of lightning is the combination of it and a sword,by sending your chakra into your weapon it shares the lightning affix and increases the weapons strength and sharpness
None of the lightning jutsu move as fast as natural lightning.
It is a mainly offensive element but it can also be used as defense by masterfull raiton users such as Ay

Very good answer, I'll let you know that lightning increased the cutting power of weapons (and there speed if you throw them) by increasing the frequency of vibrations of the weapon, making it akin to a really fast buzz saw.

Hoe does lightning interact with Water and Fire?

Since water is a conductor for electricity it can be used to increase the damage of lightning while fire can be shot up to the sky to create natural lightning as was shown by Sasuke

What did you feel? notice how you felt the shock throughout your entire hand? What does this tell you about the nature of lightning and what you must do to control it?

First off that was a **** move sensei as I almost pee'd myself sensei but to the point at hand it tells me that lightning is very dangerous when in the hands of someone who mastered it like yourself as even such little friction shocked me for my arms to go a little numb.So if used properly and on a higher scale and with precision it could end battles in minutes.The one thing I like about lightning is even tho as I mentiond it can be used at a pin-point target and controlled as to how much damage it will do it can also be used to create a chaos and destroy anything in my path so making it the most destructive element for me.To control it my guess would be that it had to be used proportionatly, unlike suiton which is used in wide range attacks lightning should rather be concentrated at one point for maximum effectivness thus also not using the extra unneeded chakra.

Excellent response. So the main point we can take away from that is; Lightning is a dangerous element that requires you to contain and direct it with your chakra and will. Letting go if this control and you could be the target of your own attack.

This, is what you must remember when using your lightning chakra.

Channel your lightning chakra into your hands and then focus it to shape small bolts of lightning that you'll shoot at that tree.

This is the first use of lightning, bolts. Most jutsu will be based of bolts, we'll talk more about the use/form as we cover them.

I beggin channeling my chakra through my palms and as it begins surfacing I use shape manipulation and create a lightning bolt.I then throw the bolt into a tree as it rips right through it and goes straight for the sensei

Charge some lightning in your hand and then slam it on the ground, sending a small stream of lightning crackling across the ground towards that rock, destroying it.

I begin to channel chakra in my palm again creating alot of sparks making it look unstable.I slam my hand into the ground and the stream of lightning travels through the ground straight for the rock and as it reaches it it destroys it into little pieces

I want you to now surge your lightning chakra all through your body, releasing it to create a spherical shield around you. Be careful though as it only lasts for one hit but it will shock an opponent on contact.

Then, I want you to surge more chakra into the electric shield, overloading it so that it explodes, blowing back anything nearby.

I beging to channel my lightning chakra thoughout all of my body,imaginening the shape of a spherical shield I release it and it begins to cover my body.
After it is completley over my body its time for the second task.
I begin to push out more and more chakra overloading the shield and causing it to blow up and the sensei goes flying

I place my hands on the ground and begin channeling my chakra through it causing waves of lightning to rage over the ground going straight to my senseis clone making him go "poof"

If I used this over water it would go all over the place.As I said considering water is a natural conductor for electricity it would ampliffy the strength of the attack but it would be harder to control and in the end might backfire and hurt me if im not carefull

I begin channeling chakra through both of my hands and as it begins to colide with each other in the center distance of my two hands I use shape manipulation to create a ball of lightning and as I continue pushing in more chakra it gets bigger and bigger until its the size of a basketball.As the outer field of the ball is strengthend by my chakra the inside is filled with rageing lightning chakra.It looks like an aquarium with lightning instead of goldfish

As the chakra builds up throughout though all the major points I release it short distance from my body and with the use of shape manipulation I create lighning armor that is covering my entire body.

You are going to run up that while my clone chases you. While you are running up the cliff-face, I want you to form the Snake → Upside down Tiger hand seals, finishing by clapping your hands together. Then, spread your lighting chakra through the earth in front of you, and use it to loosen rocks enough to fall past you and hit my clone, knocking him off.

Why would you want to ensure you get the high ground in a battle?

AAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHH RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I run up a cliff behind of me I perform the handseals Snake → Upside down Tiger and as I am about to clap I focus on bringing out my raiton chakra and as I clap I spread the chakra through the earth on which I am climbing up and it goes upwards ripping through the earth and it loosens the rocks located at the top.As they fall down I simply dodge and the clone gets crushed and goes "poof"


The best I can think of is that since raiton rips through doton it would destroy the earth under me aswell if im not carefull.It may not do any real damage to me but losing focus in battle for even a second can mean defeat.So its safer to get to a higher spot but to tell you the truth this is mainly a guess.

My question wasn't in relation to raiton or any element for that fact, but you got it right in the end... kind of It is safer to get to the high spot, for it gives you a better view of the surrounding area which allows you to spot and counter your opponent moves better. It also gives you a better presence on the field if your opponent has to literally look up to you.

Descripton: By forming hand seals Snake → Upside down Tiger → Hands clapped together and running up a cliff face, the user causes stone and rock above him to become dislodged and rain down past him onto his opponents below by releasing a wave of electrical energy. However, this is extremely location-based and needs to be done uphill of a mountain for it to work.

Hold you hand out in front of you as if you had a sword in it then charge your lighting chakra in said hand, releasing a pale yellow glow from it. When you are ready, shoot a bolt of lightning at your choice of target.

I extend my right arm and begin charging lighning chakra all around it as it gets a yellow glow around it.
As the lightning raging in my hand "flickers" I shoot out a bolt of lightning at a lake and kill all the fish inside
