Rogue's shadow?
Hmm, I was wondering, if Rogue's shadow is the same as that thing, which possessed Jellal way back?
I mean, if you look at the eye's of the shadows, they are alike. So is Zeref going to interfere by possessing Rogue?
Besides I don't think the possession gave Jellal more powers?
EDIT: Oh, never mind this thread, just realized it was actually Ultear that controlled Jellal back then, so it's actually an irrelevant thought, I had. Have a nice day!

Re: Rogue's shadow?
Well a couple of theories were as follows.
1. Zeref is somehow manipulating the shadow....the fact that Sabertooth would participate each year would mean that this is the evil magic comming from the games. This could also mean that this evil trace is being falsly placed on Lucy in order to draw suspicion away from it. If so then Future Lucy is actually being odd for some other reason (perhaps in order to save the present she must sacrifice herself...something Fairytail would never let her do), and because of the hiding of this information in conjunction with Zeref's possible fake placement on her, it will cause those in Crime Sorciere to question her causing indecision in a time where timing is everything.
2. Minerva is using some sort of magic to manipulate the shadow. She wants to do nothing more than tear down Fairytail...She's in the process of torturing Erza. Why stop with her when she can kill a Fairytail Dragon Slayer. In the panels just before the shadow begins to speak...he mentions Minerva between 2-3 times.
3. Rogue's shadow in itself is an entity. Remember that Rogue and Sting killed their Dragons and absorbed their Lacrima (if I understood that right)...in doing so, it is possible some manner of the Shadow Dragon's entity remains within a deep subconcious or existence. It could be that the Shadow Dragon is inherintly cruel, or it wants to set up sting for failure in finding friendship. It could also be a simple dark split personality-like existence.

I like number 3. It could indeed make sense, and then it will "just" be some power-up for Rogue, which however, is unimportant in the overall picture. It will, however, give us a good fight between dragon slayers.
Number 1 I doubt, cause it wasn't Zeref that possessed Jellal after all. I made a mistake there. It was Ultear.
That said, it could actually be Ultear. What if the prediction Lucy made, was that Gajeel beat Rogue. So Ultear might do it, to change that, so that the princess wont believe her. That could indeed prevent the use of Eclipse. Though I doubt this is the case. I still think Gajeel will win
