[Discussion] Are there any good influences nowadays?

Ya know I've always felt I had no role models growing up and always felt like society has no good role models. Honestly, It seems like the youth have no one to look up too and everyone is just kinda wondering aimlessly through life with no direction or anyone to inspire, juxtaposition to the insane amount bad role models that are constantly getting attention. Thoughts?

My role model (one of em) has been gone (RIP Steve Irwin ;-; ) There are quite a few good role models out there....but the media feeds on negativity and people lap it up like crazy, whether they want to or not :/

I look up to my family, my love wherever she is, Anne Frank, Kurt Cobain (nothing to do with drugs or death, so stay away idiots), Martin Luther King, Steve Irwin, Marissa Paternoster, Isis Queen, and many many more.

Aside from people I know personally that I look up to, I look up to Ray Lewis, Eric Thomas, and Myles Kennedy. There's LOTS of great people you just have to look for them.

I am sure there are a few still out there. Can I name any? No, not off the top of my head. You are right though, there are not that many now a days. Which is quite sad. :/

Superheroes. Or heroes, or people we consider heroes.

I think superheroes will always be a good influence. This also applies to general good characters in any form of media.

I look up to my mother a single parent who raise a child at 19 along with my father [ who is in prison] who is still more of a father then most of these ***** ass sperm donators today. My Grand-father on my mother's side who taught me all the lessons i my father would have taught me if he was out, don't get me wrong my father still taught me from a jail cell but my grand-father just was there you know.

I don't look up to anyone, so I could care less. There are many good influences out there, you just have to search properly.

there are plenty of good role-models some people just do a bad job at finding them, especially teenagers nowadays.

I've always had role-models, I still do, professors and co-workers
