Naruto and Gaara's Bond vs Naruto and Sasuke's

[Fair Warning]

So to those that believe Sasuke to be the main villain and rival of Naruto. I completely disagree.


I do not know why, but Kishimoto gave up Gaara and Naruto's connections for some emo kid. (not character bashing)

Here are some reasons Naruto and Gaara are more alike and connected

#1: Naruto and Gaara are both Jinchuuriki (obviously)

Naruto and Gaara posses the same power inside them that makes them different. They are connected through the tailed beasts and are both powerful jinchuuriki.

#2: Naruto and Gaara were both shunned.

Both were shunned and abandoned for being "demons" and struggled to be acknowledged.

#3: Both their mothers love protects them
Kushina and Karura both protect their sons with love. Kushina restrains the nine tails from Naruto and helps him beat evil. Karura's love protects Gaara with the sand to keep him from harm.

#4: Both have no parents.

Naruto and Gaara's mothers both died the night of their birth.

Their fathers both the 4th kage, died protecting the village. Both of them sealed beasts inside their own sons for the good of the village. (maybe not kazekages)

#5: Both understand hate
Although this may fall under being shunned, both Naruto and Gaara live with evil demons inside them.

Naruto overcame the beast inside him and stove to be good. Gaara was taken by hate and led down a path of darkness. Only to confront each other.

Their connection lead to Gaara's new side

#6: Naruto and Gaara care about each other
After changing sides, Gaara is more close to Naruto then Sasuke EVER was

I cannot see Naruto doing this for Sasuke....

And what about Sasuke and Naruto's Bond?

Nothing more than an old school rivalry between two teammates From Day 1 Naruto was jealous of Sasuke for his looks, style, and abilities. They never confront over anything that connects them

Naruto and Gaara went through the same treatment by their respective village by always getting disrespected, shunned, and criticized for being monsters.

The only reason that Naruto and Sasuke's bond seems better is because of the glorious music and glorious flashbacks that Kishimoto puts when they reunite in each chapter. Kishimoto makes their moments so emotional that's why i chose Naruto and Sasuke over Gaara, but had it been the other way their friendship would have more meaning!

I was stateing that from Naruto's pov.For Naruto,Sasuke is like a brother,and no matter how much better you get along with friends,family is still family and you care for them more then you could for a friend that acts like a a**wipe.

I agree with your statement. When Gaara was first introduced i sort of took a liking towards him, but of course when his demonic outward behavior starting to show. I started to truly dislike Gaara-- it's not because he was psychopathic, but because his behavior was so abnormal and irrational! Of course when Gaara became humble i started to enjoy his presence again! I do admit that Naruto and Sasuke's bond really isn't something big enough to brag. Naruto and Gaara, on the other hand, actually have a lot to relate too. Gaara is Kazekage, but Naruto is planning to be Hokage! Gaara was a previous jinchuriki, and Naruto is still a jinchuriki. A lot of similarities, but if i was Naruto i wouldn't chase Sasuke for that long!

Sasuke and naruto's bond is something strange...naruto always wanted to overtake sasuke and gain his acknowledgement......and fight him as his equal....with time, sasuke became his closest friend because he knew what being alone was...gaara at least had his two siblings as family members but both sasuke and naruto lost their family....so that's the kind of pain they both share.....

Kakashi would have died for him, k11 cared for him, Hiruzen cared for him. Iruka did too.

Naruto doesn't even consider Sasuke a rival anymore lol he stated he consider Sasuke a friend. And Naruto sorta wants Sasuke to hate him as he told Sasuke last time they met to focus all of his hate on Naruto and Naruto only and then take it out on him full force next time they fight. Like it or not they were best friends at one point and the bond is still there since Kishi has being trying to show that in a subtle way.
